Got a problem with the sound in Rainbow Six. Everything is fine, except that there is no sound whenever a weapon is fired. anyone know ho to fix? thnx

"If you continue to experience sound difficulties (particularly with the NVidia NForce chipset), please change the UseWinMM option in data/save/options.xml to 1. This can also correct compatibility issues with other audio chipsets (this problem has been observed with some C-Media audio chipsets)."

1) You will need to edit the file "options.xml" in the "data" folder of LockDown. Do not be scared by the idea. This file is simply the saved game settings. No black magic involved.

2) Use your favourite HTML editor (like Dreamweaver) to modify the file. Windows NOTEPAD will also work but you must make sure that WORDWRAP is turned OFF. Do not use Wordpad ...use Notepad.

3) Look for the line shown below in the screenshot and change the setting to "1" instead of "0" (by default it is off and set to "0").
Save it, restart the game and there will be sound!
