Same here, well, had one crash midmission, but who cares...restart fixed it.
i72600k OC + 970GTX + 16GB Ram - Few med ones, rest High Presets = I get around 60 FPS - mostly above.
Guess I am just lucky. This Sandy Bridge eats through everything. But this Xmas...a new sys is on the horizon...after 8 years. I call this CPU pure value...best one I ever bought. 4,5GHz stable for years and years...
Game is a tad too much riding for my part, but hey...I forgot about all the driving around in GTA5 then.
Did I miss the difficulty switch or is this game just designed to fit the casual gamer?! I died once in a fight cause I was lazy and dropped off cliffs 3 times I guess. Right now at: Chapter 2, the mission with the 'fence-guy'.
I don't even use the dead-eye thing that much, I mostly forget to use it.

Nah, there is no difficulty setting sadly. Game is easy because enemies can't headshot you. Only time you'll probably die apart from accidents is if you're in a fire fight with bad cover and get flanked.
AI is a bit hit or miss in the flanking and not just staying behind cover in front of you, but when they do flank and you don't manage to get into cover, you can die.
Also Rockstar's mission system can kill you (or throw you to a failure) if you go out of bounds from mission parameters.
But yeah, as long as you have cover, it's very difficult to die.
Against humans anyway. A couple of cougars are still going to fuck you up easily if they get the drop on you.

getting crazy sick of this one difficulty fits all shit in open world games myself, having played destiny 2/division 2/bunch of other shit 2. you just breeze through these games without any challenge. most of them actually have very solid AI, just they are completely handicapped for mah immursion, fucks sake add some basic options.

Btw since yesterday evening, I am no longer experiencing the launcher issue.
I believe Rockstar fixed their auth server or something.
Now I am only experiencing the freezing issue.
If I lower the CPU usage of the .exe then there is almost no freezing, but the sound becomes garbled.
