The art of racing in the rain 4/10

Shitty as a dog movie
Irritating as a 'racing' movie
Cheap as a drama

Don't bother with it.

Terminator: Fart Drake 4DX/10

The movie itself was ok for what it was. Like 6/10, I was entertained. Don’t ask yourself too many questions. It fits our time, thats ok. The issue was the 4DX experience. Thought it would be bad but we wanted to try and it was even worse. I swear if you ever get the idea to watch a movie like this in 4DX, just don‘t. The feeling of kinetic impact that the cgi is really missing in action sequences cannot be replaced by shaking seats. Sometimes you can‘t follow whats happening on screen because you‘re trying to keep your eyes straight or some weird pfftchs in your neck.

Saw Yesterday couple weeks ago, it's an easy going, easy to watch, just don't think too much about what actually happened type of movie Smile Not going to rate it, for me it's not a rateable movie, take it as an art piece popcorn flic or something.

Lol yeah, that pretty much sums it up, like couleur wrote it's pretty much a terrible experience and you come out the movie with a sore throat due to the fans blasting all the time..
The demo they introduce 4DX stuff with is great because it's some kind of POV jet fighter scene (I think that was it), and for that purpose it's pretty great. There was some 4DX movie at the Astérix amusement park which worked rather well since it has 4DX in mind from the start, same for the Honey, I shrunk the kids at Disneyland.. but for an actual movie ? It's really shit, distracting as hell and not worth the extra money they ask for it.

Cape Fear (1991) - 7.5/10

When I first watched this as a kid, I think I caught it on TV about a couple of times, I considered it the scariest film I had ever seen. It left such a strong impression, now that I'm watching it 15-20 years later, I am legitimately surprised with how many scenes I could recall from it!

Of course it's not that scary anymore, and it also feels a bit of a product of its time, at least technically (some wonky compositing and ADR). It's still effective, but also a little cheesy.

Terminator Genisys 7/10

The action was good, the story made little sense and they screwed up in explaining it, everyone is building time machines in the past somehow, everyone except Arnold was miscast ... too bad because I liked the first part of the movie.

Chronopolis: ?/10

WTF did I watch? It was so trippy that I don't know what was going on. It was definitely an experience. Not sure I'd call it a "fun" experience though. Polish-French animated experimental film from 1983 with some rather disturbing ambient noise/sounds playing throughout the entire experience. Yeah, it's an experience, not a single word is said, just that weird disturbing soundtrack and a mix of claymation and other techniques.

Quote:
The film won "Best Children's Film" at Fantafestival in 1982

Poor kids, I'm glad I didn't see it until now. It DOES have a story but it takes a lot of head scratching to understand it. The ending is the most descriptive part of the whole thing.

Quote:
Chronopolis tells the story of a gargantuan city lurking in the sky colonized by powerful immortals who have become jaded and bored with eternal life, and thus have decided to manipulate elements of time. They play with atomic particles and electricity, and monotonously construct bizarre and unusual objects to assist in this, including a ball that communicates with higher technology...

Joker.

Very thankful for this amazing origin story of the Joker. It was perfectly executed and not as i expected it to be. The build up was very quick, more comic book-like than i had imagined, and not very depressing at all, more of an uplifting movie really (obviously with a very dark theme). 10/10

I quite enjoyed that one actually. It felt quite realistic, compared to most of the other movies depicting Agincourt and all that.
