Seems like the leaked spoilers are legit, this all lines up perfectly with them. Not that you need reading them anymore considering how transparent the trailer is about how things will go down.
Whatever, I guess in a couple years everybody will have forgotten about this new trilogy. They really fucked up the building up of the world versus what the OT left us at, and the construction of new characters we're supposed to give a damn about.

Holywood is now barren, almost no original ideas just rehash of a rehash.
Also not enough cools to give for this new Star Wars movie, especially the cavalery charge on star destroyer or whatever that shit is.
Hollywood is heading where every other media is heading: towards flat generic stuff that pleases the masses. And then you got some ideological idiots that think they can fuck over fans of old classics like Ghostbusters, Star Wars, etc. by puking a bunch of SJW stuff over it because "girl power yay!".
The past few months I've been downloading and watching movies from the 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's (with the occasional outlier which is in the style of older movies such as High Fidelity) and those movies have so much more characters and are just more pleasing to watch. Far less FLASH FLASH CGI CGI FLASH FLASH ACTION bullshit they barf over modern movies.
Yesterday I watched a rare recent movie that was pretty OK and didn't overdo the CGI namely In The Shadow of The Moon. Far from perfect but because it stuck to the premise of character development instead of doing cheap scifi nonsense, it mostly works.

Nope. People still talk about the prequels and they will be talking about the new movies.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

With the second movie (Attack of the Clones) I left the cinema mostly feeling I had seen a decent movie (minus the horrible love scenes *puke*). With the first movie it was like "Okaaay ... it's a good movie, mediocre Star Wars movie, but let's see what the next movies bring".
The third movie, which ironically is considered the best of the prequels, I disliked the most because it didn't have a good story and was just connecting the dots that were known from the original trilogy. Anakin turns dark and is badly disfigured: check. Padme dies: check. Kids get given to foster parents: check. The emperor comes into full power: check. The movie itself wasn't that well executed either to make the pre-knowledge of this a moot point.
With the new trilogy ... first movie I thought "OK, Rey is terrible and way overpowered, Finn is not as interesting as I had hoped and Kylo Ren is just an angsty joke of a bad guy BUT there's room for improvement in the next movie!".
With the second movie I was like "god no, god NO what the HELL are you DOING? It's TERRIBLE! It makes no SENSE! You're butchering everything!"
No way in HELL they can redeem the utter pile of putrid shit that was the 8th movie. They did everything wrong: killed off one of the last original cast, banked on the wrong one who then unexpectedly died in RL (because, woman natch, can't kill off our women, just our men), totally shat in the face of all Star Wars fans of old, completely wrecking lore left and right, couldn't even create a proper bad guy, added uselessly long scenes that added nothing, purple haired "general" who is shit at commanding her troops, etc. etc. etc. etc.
I'm not going to go anywhere NEAR this movie. Fuck them. I'm sure they're now trying to make a 180°, sucking that fat old nerdy Star Wars fan dick hoping to recover from the massive public outcry over the last movie and the bomb that was SOLO.

The prequels were noticeably better than this though - it was hard to fuck them up entirely considering the base material they had.
I don't think it will make a comparable lasting impression on generations to come. The prequels don't really come near the OT save for the people for which it was the first contact with the SW franchise; and I guess it's going to be worse for this newest trilogy.
The world/character building is really shitty, what really sticks to memories are things from the previous trilogies. For instance, will people be able to name even one of the new planets featured in the current trilogy ? I doubt it - I personally can't .
Naturally, people won't actually obliterate it from memory

Yes it's very biased against Disney and overall woke crap. Never claimed it wasn't
It's funny, with the new star wars movies, the thing i'm looking forward to the most is people like Red Letter Media totally ripping it apart, laughing their asses off.

If it's good I will like it and if it's not I won't.
Has nothing to do with disliking the fake reports of retarded YouTubers. Those reports could have been about positive test screenings and calling it one of the greatest films ever made; I would still be able to tell they are fake by the context and the channels are retarded.

This is not rocket science dude, it's rumors.. they can be positive or negative, in this case the sources are negative, that's all there is to it.
If you can find positive rumors great, i'm interested (i really dont mind rumors at all because i take them for what it is). I also enjoy Red Letter Medias predictions about Star Wars, doesn't mean they'll be true, but its a bit of fun to follow.
No, that's not how it works. If there was truth to the rumors, the trades, whose literal job is to have connections in the studios and hear about those things would have already published the story.
The same people who reported Rogue One going under big reshoots by an entirely different director.
For such big news it wasn't a YouTuber who had the inside knowledge back then, and it won't be a YouTuber now either.

We'll see, it's rumors i'm not sure i believe in any kind of consistency when it comes to rumors, much of it will rely on having luck to get to people involved.. i've not followed the channel for so long that i can say he's always reliable, but doing a bit of research and googling doomcock does seem to have been correct before.
This is fun for me, eg. someone's childhood memory being stomped by clueless corporate machine with manchild tears in the background.
Looks great to me.
