Joker is set to dethrone Deadpool as the highest grossing R-rated film in history.
DC wins this round!
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
According to our sources, the film, which will take place several years after the events of the 2019 Golden Lion winner, will focus more on Arthur’s rise as a criminal in Gotham City, rather than his descent into madness. Should this idea – which is, in my opinion, not exactly a good one – continue to materialize, it wouldn’t only be a bloodier venture, but it would also be the first sequel of Joaquin Phoenix’s career.
With all this said, the only solace I take in the possibility of Joker 2 is that the actor has been willing to break his career-spanning rule, showing that if he believes it can be done well, then maybe I should, too.

Plot details are still scarce at this early, early stage, but apparently, it’ll see Arthur Fleck crossing paths with a few other Batman villains and it seems that Two-Face and the Penguin may be putting in an appearance. Both of them are also due to show up in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, but the Joker 2 versions would be completely separate, with different actors, due to the movies occupying their own continuity outside of the DCEU.
Saw this the other night. Exceeded the hype and will go down as one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema in my eyes. Even when you knew those moments were coming, it didn't stop the shock when they did. Bloody incredible film. 10/10.

I need a better source to believe that. Some of their "exclusives" have been safe guesses, and they've been wrong with others.
Let's see if the trades report any of this.

This might be their way into a universe people actually want.
More joker, more villains, and slowly ease into introducing the batman and other heroes in an actually gritty dark setting.
This won't fit with their pg13 dceu. No way no how.
But if they go dceu r rated. They can do a view movies that could salvage a franchise and could bring in directors that aren't shit who want to do superhero movies but not following the Disney formula.
It didn't work with bvs and it didn't work with justice league.
The new batman movie could be hard r like this which would work well with this joker. They just need a new thing for dceu to become successful. And this might be it.
R rated movies will never be.
But they keep fumbling on dceu.
An r rated rebrand will bring flock back dceu franchise of the movies are as good as the joker.
I really am interested in post (pre-release) interviews with Joaquin. I don't think he's one to handle this kind of fame.
I don't go to the cinema these days anymore.
I cant sit properly ( being 2m tall ) , crowded , cant bring anything with me, like pizza beer or soda ( i have to buy from their in store , which is more expensive ), and the noise people make , making the experience not enjoyable).
I'm used to sitting at home in my couch relaxed do whatever i want, eating a large pizza, pause the movie if i need to go to the fridge/bath.
Also , today someone told in my near cinema to 2 people who made noise to shut up/keep quiet, then 1 of the 2 loudmouths pulled a knife and cut them both ( minor injuries ).
I'm waiting for the day when i can buy a ticket and watch it at home at release not six months on bluray when the hype is over.I know its a different experience watching on the big screen but for me its whatever.
But since piracy that will never happen
+1 cinema is full of tolerating others, ruins the experience.
My last experience watching Hereditary, fooled myself to go watch it in cinema:
Lady and the guy just wouldn't stop talking, I shouted them like crazy: go fuck yourself out of this shithole right now! they fed up and left, and some other people as well.
I got a very good cinema closeby. They have top-of-the line video and audio, the setting is old but charming, the chairs are really comfortable, and only people who actually want to watch the movie come there.
It's kind of magic, but it seems anyone coming there knows about this silent rule of respect, even younger people.
They usually air only one movie at a time, but they have good taste
The only exception to the "silence rule" I have ever witnessed there was the Last Jedi.. people couldn't help but audibly sigh or chuckle at cringe moments

Cinema here is ok, this is a small city though, me and a friend has went several times and its just him and me there (last time with Hellboy 3 - awful movie). we try to from time to time to support it heh.. i have a 124" projector screen in my living room so i usually prefer that, for this movie i'm gonna see it at home.
I've had bad audiences like.. maybe 2 times in my life, and even then they weren't insufferable.
For years I've been reading about bad audiences in the cinema, all over the Internet, so I don't get how this phenomenon is seemingly so widespread, pretty much all over the world.
I must have been really lucky avoiding it I guess.

I don't see why anyone would go to the shitty cinemas. The faster they become irrelevant, the better..
I still go to see 3D movies only... That can't be duplicated at home.
yeah it can.. i sit pretty close to my 124" projector screen, it has great 3D, i get better blacks than at the cinema here. Audio is louder and probably a bit better at the cinema though.
Another 3Dtv user here. Sometimes I prefer the BD3D home version better than the 3D cinema one (and I watch every movie in 3D if it's available near me)
