Current canon in DC is that unbeknownst to everyone there isn't just one Joker, there are three different Jokers, and Batman only recently figured it out.
This upcoming book will shed some light on how the hell is this possible:
although there are reports that they are thinking of removing the entire arc this was a part of from canon.
Suffice it to say whatever liberties they are taking with the movie version, they must be a lot saner than comic book logic.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
IT - part two 9/10 better than expected!!
The Crawl 9/10 - my favorite horror movie of this year
Midsommer (2019) 5/10 - good god I didn't watch the extended version, noncut was enough
The.Gangster.The.Cop.The.Devil.2019: 8/10...Good one...Nice action, acting, like the gangster the best,.,.mean mofo...
Drunk.Parents.2019: 8/10 Another good one. Salma Hayek still so damn fine.. Alex Baldwin hilarious. Same with Carl...funny jokes...wacked out story...even Will Farrell and Collin make it in
It chapter 2 (I've only finished 1h 44m so far) - 4/10
Meh. It's not even creepy, just dull. The CG is just silly, Pennywise is as scary as a piglet, the story drags on with very little to show for so far.
EDIT: finished the movie and increased to 4/10 (from 3). Not good but the last part (while campy as hell and a lot of it made little sense logically) was better than the first 2/3rds. Ultimately I definitely prefer the original mini-series with Tim Curry as Pennywise.
Btw, am I the only one that felt all the little "easter eggs" about other works by King felt very forced and pointless ultimately failing the point of homages?
Avengers: Endgame, longest in the franchise.
Toy Story 4 longest in the franchise.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, longest.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, longest.
Angel Has Fallen, longest.
Men in Black International, longest.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters. longest.
etc.
In the past studios wanted their films to be short so that they get more showing per day.
Now that there are almost double the amount of movie theaters compared to 30 years ago, this is less of a priority and studios are trying to make jampacked "event" films. Also audiences have been trained to binge-watch TV.

Wasn't it 90 minutes when we were growing up?
Nowadays it feels like almost everything goes above 2 hours... most of them overstaying their welcome by a mile.
Maybe they could actually fill those extra minutes with more meaningful stuff rather than filler, badly done drama or cgi splosions #3265
I remember movies being around 95-110 minutes and I never thought they "ended too soon" or that I didn't get my money's worth. Now there are so many movies that are well over 2 hours.
Even a silly movie like Power Rangers is 124 mins and there is so much filler until they finally transform and the battle starts ... Why?!?!?!
It is one of the reasons I rarely go to the movies nowadays, I want to have fun, not get tired and get back pain from sitting still for two hours like I'm Stephen Hawking. And there is a big difference between a 110 min movie and a 130 min movie.
By the way I rate Power Rangers a 7/10 if you don't roll your eyes when thinking about the silliness of this kiddie franchise Otherwise avoid it at all costs!
I've never liked 90 minutes. How much character and plot development can you get for that time? And there have always been long films. Lawrence of Arabia is 4 hours long! Aliens was 2.5 hrs. Gladiator 2.5 hrs. Lord of the Rings 3-4.5 hrs (theatrical). Die Hard 2.25 hrs. True Lies 2.5 hrs. Speed 2 hrs (!).
The problem is that modern movies are just terrible, so you get bored. In the past, a long film would be enthralling, while today, somehow, movies are just terrible waste of time. Not all, of course, but most. Yes, it feels filler, unlike in the past.
joker 7/10 , 6 as the script is drawn out and rather empty at times, but holy moly, the main actor bumps it up to 7, nails joker vibe for me as person who knows very little about joker, its scary good when he starts dancing on them stairs in his red suit, damn, glorious. And i hope to see more of him as joker asap.
what i dont get is the lack of a few killer jokes from like dark night. They should have included 2-3 solid jokes and it would have been an 8/10. wish more characters where fleshed out, but heh, timelimits i guess. directors cut maybe ?

Yeah, I didn't mean we only had 90 minutes and it has it flaws (but not for all genres/films). An okay movie works better in a shorter time.
Just nowadays they mostly are all long. Even the types that used to have shorter run times.
I really don't like the themepark rides we get usually. It's also harder for me to find a movie to go see in the theatre. Still have tickets left I got for my birthday (3 months ago). Think the last one we saw in the theatre was Queen.
And yeah they are for the most part terrible these days.
Games are even worse, especially RPG's / action RPG's.. gotta have those 80-100h even though all it does is making the game really tedious and boring. Unfortunately the gamers are mostly the ones to blame here, because they demand that games are long (=quantity over quality).
To me it's really strange (both for movies and for games), there's just so much to choose from these days, why wouldn't i want to spread it out more - maybe watch two various movies instead of just one very long movie? in the 80's games and movies were really short, that's when they should have been long because there was very little to chose from, instead you had to replay or rewatch the damn thing.
in a movie i can at least skip, and yes a good movie, u dont want to end. so the longer the better
90 minutes is fucking 3d cinema horsehsit where they wanna get u out asap and get another person in the seat to buy new drinks and popcorn like at macdonalds and why it has yellow colors
It lacked sublety for me. Great performance by Phoenix as always. Really good cinematography and some great scenes but it just didn't clicked for me.
