Optimization is good, you can play solo, but messages about multi etc. don't pop up every now and then ... The physics is improved in particular when it comes to killing opponents. The map is large and there are side missions plus from what I observed the weather system works better, e.g. falling rain.
Played on ASUS TUF GAMING
Ryzen 5, 16GB Ram, RX560X 4GB. 1080p Freesync High detal
Some of the zones can look good others look a bit plastic and a bit behind the current curve though the temporal anti-aliasing (And if enabled the reconstructive upscaling.) can make things look quite blurry and with ghosting if framerate drops a bit low though even without fast moving objects like vegetation sway has traces of this.
Some pop-in and LOD transitions but compared to Wildlands and even the Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey Games (Anvil Next engine titles.) the near detail clutter and objects is more plentiful although once again it quickly fades for lower detail less demanding and as such less graphically complex variants which is very clear when using a helicopter.
(With the map being once again hella huge sized how else would one really get around too until at least getting some of the fast travel points - 170 or so total I think. - for the various regions.)
Subscription to UPlus is a neat deal one on hand but it's the ultimate edition and will only progress to Ultimate Edition so bye progression if you pick up any other version of the game later on.
(That this had to be clarified on the forums and wasn't at least initially in a FAQ or clearly shown was kinda dumb too even if tech wise different editions on UPlay have different title numbers / ID's and these aren't cross compatible generally but what regular user would just be aware of that.)
Also 15$ and then 30$, 45$ and 60$ whereas in two - three months picking up a discounted priced copy is also something to weigh in, this isn't the Microsoft 30 days 2 dollar approach regularly doing trials for even less and full refund if cancelled early or don't but retain the remaining subscription period also as a choice.
As to the game itself it feels like Ubisoft more than any current game tried to stick their current gameplay formula and the mix is pretty weird with level scaling but it only really does anything for drones and even then they're dealt with easily via weakpoints and a sniper regardless and then this constant gear shift because levels are a gear score now in addition to players basically getting perks every so often for various bonuses.
A immediate "Oh noes!" from either upper management or the devs when a bunch of complaints for their core vision came in and a reversal of several of these is also odd but more importantly means they might sway back and forth as the game gets updated depending on vocal minority and complaints because sales is everything and popularity must be maintained and kept at the highest possible level instead of trying to do what initially seemed like a more tactical survival experience.
(That was the cinematic teaser and introduction trailer though and highly scripted gameplay videos so yeah they are what they are and shouldn't be taken for granted for how the actual game itself will be when not in 100% hype mode and marketing promotional media and such.)
Game can be enjoyable for what it is but it has it's flaws and issues so we'll see how things go plus online only (WTH.) and social cave of anons. (WTH x2)
More than anything just getting that out and being able to set the cave to "Friends only." or something would be a lot better.
(And stop bugging me about co-op and online matchmaking already.)
EDIT: Store's full of boosters and stuff already even if for now (For now.) most of the actual gear can be found in game (Eventually, at some point, RNG and maybe and higher powers and all that.) so that might also go all out again.
(Division 2 is faltering a bit currently, it's plenty obvious the current event is just trying to keep a high player base in time for TU6 and making the game look better and more active than it's been before plus how much they're adjusting the drop rates here and pushing for transactions and cash instead even losing long time active players for short term gains.)
EDIT: Although visually and the PC platform in particular we're still kinda 2014 here so so-so looking gameplay visuals and sacrifices and balance and parity and then a curious jump to graphical awesomeness in cutscenes going all out with all sorts of weird effects and stuff.
(Some smaller continual improvements and the actual hardware demands are higher than before because that just keeps going up but overall it's still very much where it's at.)

No offense, but the stuff you describe is so trivial. I mean come on, the game looks dated and you are happy about optimization and falling rain?
But it is not about such trifles only. I also mentioned the physics and the lack of silly messages about multi, and I forgot to add that the AI of the opponents is definitely better than in Wildlands. I just started playing and in the reviews I am an amateur, so I also see trivial things which I do not means I don't see any more differences compared to beta.
I think, if you REALLY want to play this game now, then uplay+ is probably the best way to go UNLESS you plan to play this "GAAS" for the next 2 years.
Otherwise, finish the game in the first month and cancel and MAYBE when they release a DLC or whatever, resub for a month.
Because this allows also to play whatever else you want.
Otherwise, go ahead and pay 120€ instead
PS: Ruskie prices have like doubled. Still cheaper, but not by much.
Like 45€ for regular, 90€ for ultimate. Instead of 60/120
ubisoft and timesavers,etc.... im almost shocked. greedy fuckers. spend upwards of £60 just to get the oppurtunity to give them even more money. I wasnt impressed with the beta, now with all this stuff i think itll be a "nope" from me.... at least until its sub £15
when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth
I think I'm a little confused about all of these pay to win trashing videos coming out. What are people "winning" here? Did buying some shotguns finish the campaign for them? Maybe it was the attachment bundle that brought them the "you are winrar" epilogue scene.
I won't deny that the MTX are "time savers" but if someone wants to spend more to play less then let them. Maybe they just have too many games to play and they just gotta win and move on.
I'm not a fan of MTX in any game, but I guess I am just missing something here with this one. I don't play PVP in this game so maybe that's what I'm missing? If so, then valid point I suppose, to a certain extent anyway.
Can someone help me out here, please? I'm being honest.

Who cares about gameplay. It's one of the few next-gen looking titles out there so BRING IT ON.

The problem is - the game is specifically designed and structured so that it takes an inordinate amount of time to grind out gear in order to be able to beat the game so that these microtransactions become appealing. The gameplay and design both suffer for it - that's what everyone has an issue with. The game was specifically redesigned for grind.
Take a look at what they did to Assassin's Creed - starting with AC: Origins. Yes, you always used in-game currency to purchase equipment and whatnot - but you could count the number of equipment upgrades on two hands. With Origins, now you've got basically "gear-score" so you're grinding the same old boring shit ad naseum (whereas before there really was no grind) instead of playing and naturally exploring the game as it should be.

They basically took the free-to-play, pay-2-win formula from cheap cancerous mobile games and made you pay 60-120 bucks for the privilege to pay them even more for shortcuts.
And yes it is absolutely pay-2-win since you can buy skills, weapons (blueprints) and resources which you can then not only use in PvE but also in PVP.
The problem is - the game is specifically designed and structured so that it takes an inordinate amount of time to grind out gear in order to be able to beat the game so that these microtransactions become appealing.
So here's my question...how much quicker can you beat the game with paying for these things? I cruised through both ACs without spending any extra money to finish them. Breakpoint is moving along nicely for me as well. Are you really saving that much more time having better weapons? I can see this for PvP but as a person who is playing SP and some COOP only, it looks like a waste.

I think it has more to do with online PVP mode which might give a person an edge over others in the beginning.
Lost a lot of respect for this guy given recent events, but I laughed my ass off at this -

There's no pun being made here - just the fact that he's busting out a dozen trusty bells, as well as a "stunt bell" (which probably means it's going to get thrown across the room at some point), and a fucking bicycle "clown" horn (which is a first) is alluding to the fact that he's fixing to tear the game a new asshole in terms of how bad he finds it.
