You're right the cursor shows on screen??? I just push it to the bottom corner, I was getting pissed off as I kept dying on the first boss. Then I realized my wireless controller was shutting off!? I changed the batteries and all is good! Now to find a "CHEAT" trainer...fuckin' game! "WEMOD" to the rescue!! LOL!
FINISHED IT in 9h10min - 80.25% . Bad ending (Yeah, you don't say?...)
Loads of back tracking and if you don't pay attention to the map ya might forget some important zones to continue etc..
One of the things i hate more of this game (in it's v1.0.0) is that sometimes you might fall into the spikes and your "Soul" ends up.....Within such spikes. No way to recover it at all, so you must go to one of those statues and beg for forgiveness or whatever to recover it, but you pay tears for it
2-3 bosses were a pain in the ass near end-game, specially the last one...

If one of the thunder strikes from above hits ya you'll not be able to recover and dodge and get a total of 3 hits on ya, making it unfair.. Yeah, well duuuh!

This was a pleasant surprise from the Spanish Inquisition, a metrosoulsvania paella done quite well despite some hiccups and occasionally bland bits. The pixel art is simply gorgeous, with the pseudo-religious atmosphere blessed by raw heretic gore and the usual good ol' dose of exploration, secrets, upgrades, shortcuts to unlock and no handholding throughout the big interconnected map.
The combat itself works for what it is, rather 90s-like (no stamina management, basic skills/combos - had to use the derpad since the keyboard-only controls felt awkward), the enemy/boss variety is decent as well. As always the main challenge revolves around memorizing simple patterns and platforming, as soon as one gains familiarity the game gets relatively easy. It doesn't really reinvent any wheels and as a whole it's nowhere near as impressive as modern kings like Hollow Knight or Salt and Sanctuary imo, but it is a nice maldito puto 7ish/10 addition to the genre.

@ixigia: Same. I already did loads of backtracking to see if i missed anything, only to find out that:
-You need the red particle reveal item (I have it)
-Be able to walk on dirty water (No item tells you about it)
-Some kind of "Grapple" to grapple on the ROOTS (Mostly around the final areas of the game, red parts of the map)
But yeah, NOPE. This was a little bugfest that i won't bother going through again.. And the company doesn't frigging tells you the changelog for 1.0.6 wich makes it a worse company!

You mean that you won't have to do specific tasks to get the true ending of the original game, or it's a tiny story that continues after the original game's true ending.

In the original game, if you didn't met certain requirements, whenever you climb up the "stairs" you'd end up sunked in and get the bad ending. However, doing the requirements leads ya to the top witout issues
And hopefully that free DLC that unlocks the true ending can be played without repeating the whole game again...
