In the series, a novelist realizes her terrifying stories are coming true, and she returns to her hometown to face the demons from her past that inspire her writing. The first season kicks off September 13th.

Well, this wasn't really that scary. Nor is the concept interesting the way they use it. You can do so much more with "stories coming to life" than a witch/ghost thing.
The Dark Half-type of story except that King's "Stark"-character wasn't a ghost in that sense as much as it was a vengeful serial killer/mass murderer that tormented the author.
