Well, the dude did work on the Meqon middleware that was bought up by AGEIA (where he worked for 2 years; remember those hardware AGEIA accelerators?) and finally AGEIA was purchased by NVIDIA. Some of his stuff is still in PhysX.
Quote:
I founded Meqon in Norrköping, Sweden together with Marcus Lysén and Jonas Lindqvist. I was CTO and development lead of our physics simulation middleware for the games industry. We gained some traction after 3D Realms started using our technology for Duke Nukem Forever and eventually got acquired by AGEIA Technologies in 2005. Parts of our software got integrated into the PhysX SDK. I continued working at AGEIA as a software architect for two years after the acquisition, until they got acquired by NVIDIA.
He's also working on real-time screen space reflections (physically based shading with real-time lighting computations with RTX OFF ):
I love this channel, I could watch it all day. He hasn't posted in months but it popped up in the recommended videos and remembered him.
Every time I watch him I get the urge to go in my garage and use the tons of tools I either gathered over 20 years, or got when my father passed away, and just relax and zen out for hours making something.
