Nerding away with electronics like that takes a LOT of patience and (depending on difficulty) skill. I'm proficient enough with a soldering iron that I can do some not-so-difficult repairs (bridging broken traces, replace bad caps/resistors etc., replace soldered chips and so on as long as the item I'm working on isn't using very miniaturized SMD-technology. I don't have the patience to do more extensive and difficult stuff. All I need is a digital meter, soldering station, solder, braid and solder sucker, one of those stands with configurable alligator clips and magnifying lens and finally rubbing alcohol.

In a new milestone not only for RPCS3, but the souls series in general. Whatcookie recently made a patch for Demon's Souls (DeS) allowing it to bypass the games 30fps cap and run at 60 and 120fps for the first time! Marking the first time any souls game has ever reached 120fps!
However, there are currently a few issues, pre-rendered cutscenes will only display the very first frame of the video and if you're running the game at 120fps and run into geometry the players movement will be very slow. The cutscene issue isn't that big of an issue for DeS due to the game only having a couple pre-rendered cutscenes at the beginning and end of the game so playing at 60fps will still yield a fun experience. While 120fps isn't recommended unless the movement issue gets fixed. And even then, it is quite difficult to hit 120fps at high resolutions e.g 4k currently.
Uh oh, the very first souls game and at 120 fps to boot, i dont even wanna imagine how many mechanics this breaks.
Too late, I imagined the game endlessly spawning man-eaters and throwing them at you while your weapon durability is 1% of it's normal stat and invincibility frames during rolling are completely absent. Your character moves down ladders 10 times as fast, which incurs fall damage and the last boss is simply invincible. Yay
I am sure this isn't far from the truth.
Modding old 30 fps Souls games to 60-120 fps is kinda like giving your favourite fun uncle a load of coke.
Suddenly things become more wtf than fun.
Wow, just setup Prime Hack + Dolphin and this is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Metroid Prime really feels just like a native PC game now. Unreal. Already played the first game years ago but never played MP2. Def gonna enjoy playing through it for the first time with a mouse and keyboard setup!

Not really tbh, as per usual for this kind of emulator, the RPCS team puts a lot of focus on those exclusives (GoD3, RDR, The Last of Us, MGS) since that's what will bring the people's attention to them.
If anything, the worthy exclusives will probably the first to be emulated before the rest.
