Also. I don't think posting stupid emojis or namecalling people's for stating theirs opnions really help that said user image.
There are valid reasons to criticize Epicstore but aside for the "main" reasons there are not many disadvantages you don't find on pretty much every other digital stores.
Every store basically has its own fuck and disadvantage..
Steam IMO tend to be on the better side(cuz the more features and games), but there is still the flaws of having to use it in addition to Ubiplay for some games...
I could be wrong but it looks like that aside Denuvo on few games Epic store doesn't contain any new protection like on many games in Steam.

Wondering if I'm missing something.

Just wait until they push this exclusives and free games for long enough. People will be "it's fine to install it just for the free games". Then they get accustomed to it and "It's fine, i'll just buy this one game for x reason", and then the next is "Fuck it, it works and i get the games i want, who cares?".

Yea It's kinda lacking in comparison to Steam, most likely they will
push more features in Time...
There are some nice games for free that cost money on other stores though.
To clear things up, I am not Epicsotre's PR, I still prefer Steam, but it's Inevitable they will be forced to try to keep up with Steam if it's popularity and games library keeps on growing.

I don't know. Already got 30 free decent to good games for free making some backlog and don't really see myself buying anything from the EGS to be honest.

wasnt half of them supposed to be doen by march , then by May then by July?
seems like they are delaying them while barely impelmenting anything
and only one of them they marked they did are cloud save , even though its jut experimentally and only in 2 games and had to be added manualy by the steamspy guy
Really curious if they actually implemenet anything before Blands3.
Kinda sad , they got all the money in the world thx to Forknife whales , yet they are not willing to pay 2 mandays (and i am overestimating that like crazy) of store of webdeveloper to implement friggin cart
yeah stuf thats been bundled like dozen times already or even given for free few times (like the current ones thats been both given for free back in 2017)

Meanwhile, for better or worse, EA and its Origin store are getting better, not for the store part, but their Origin Access.
24€ for a year, having access to hundreds of games, including new ones, as much as you want.
Compared to the shitty deal you get with Ubi store, that's a steal.

You are wrong, some games use what I call the Epic DRM.

Adding the predictable eurosocjus piece to the pile:
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-08-06-epic-condemns-disturbing-trend-of-harassment-following-ooblets-exclusivity-deal
Some wrongthink on the comments, oh no:
Quote: | Soo... what kind of "harassment" are they getting? I mean, sure people are outraged, WELL NO SHIT. For starters they've been getting monthly support for Ooblets courtasy of Patreon, with still over 1000 members, no telling how long someone has been supporting them and their work (or how many people have left already, and how many will next payout). Those 1k+ supporters have invested in their work, to support someone and in hopes to seeing a product they want. The Ooblets team didn't just mock their supporters, and people who might've purchased the game, but also hurt their relationship with crowedfunding. Quite frankly they deserve the backlash they've been getting, they've mocked gamers, praised Epic games, and betrayed their supporters.
Now the line get's crossed once we go into death threats, and/or when the developers are frightened for their life. That's a clear cut line, don't like it, stop being a snowlfake and get some thicker skin |

They instigated people in the prickliest and most condescending way perfectly knowing that it would generate backlash, then when folks indeed got mad they punctually played the victim card with the inevitable mollycoddling support of all the journoworld. If that's not a strategy I don't know what is
Hopefully only a few of the vocal pears will actually buy the thing (as always happens) and the game will quickly end up in the Epic cemetery along with the other exclusives.

Good thing that they're also stealing from Sony. Sony deserves every bit of this action. Companies who push exclusivity to their platform can directly go bankrupt for all i care.

Nothing wrong with sony having exclusives wtf. They have their own console and fund their own games. Don't be a fool.

i'm fine with epic getting publishers / devs to put their console games on the epic store because i prefer playing on the pc over the ps4
and this way i don't have to buy the game
