i've jsut stumbled on this... i don't really like Manga normally but was urged to read this years ago -- and i actually quite liked it.

so anybody seen this Anime adaptation? any gud?

I watched it a while back. I enjoyed it (watched it after Knight of Sidonia). I can't say anything about manga vs anime though.

thanks for the replies, that's great to hear

ill check it out asap

i remember the manga being pretty visceral, so the rating on this one had me worried too.. but if everything else has been adapted somewhat faithfully im sure this is worth a shot
