Leslie Jones is throwing a hissy fit on twitter about how disappointed she is it's not her film that's getting a sequel, instead it's those Ghostbusters films "with men" that do.
The comedian took to Twitter on Saturday in a post that said, "So insulting. Like fuck us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. (Trump voice) ”Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers” ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don’t give fuck I’m saying something!!"
Well, I guess it was time for her to show her true colors. That's the respect she shows to the original films: she doesn't want them to continue.
Nah, she really wasn't the best thing in that movie. Nothing was even remotely good in that movie. Every single thing in that movie was equally shit.
I do have to say that she was a big surprise though. The trailers made her out way worse than she was in the movie. Not that it made much difference to the movie.

Most of the 80'ies classics can't really be rebooted like that. They had a difference in style, acting, filming, editing, music, different FX etc. that all contributed to making those movies special. If they try to do it retro style it won't work, if they try to rewrite it in a modern way it will fail since they must basically drop all the stuff that made the originals so entertaining and memorable even if they had plenty of flaws.
I rather watch the original one another 20 times, than any of this reboot crap once.
Oh, another thing with the '80s and even the 90's movies are, that if you didn't live back then, a lot of the jokes and references make no sense or not as much. It's fine for us old fucks, but those born after 1990 are shit out of luck in that regard.
That gen doesn't care anyway, they only need flashing lights and shit whizzing around on screen to give 10/10 scores. They tarnished the franchise, bill murray gives no fucks now as do I.
Sigourney Weaver has reportedly indicated that she will be returning as Dana Barrett in next year’s sequel to the original two “Ghostbusters” films.
In an interview with Parade Magazine, it seems confirmation was received by Weaver herself with the article saying: “She’s also set to reunite with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the new Ghostbusters, due July 2020. ‘It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!’ she says. She won’t reveal any details except to confirm she’s reprising her role as hauntee Dana Barrett.”
If she doesn't have action scenes, and I don't think she has to do any in this franchise, it won't be cringy. But the Aliens sequel idea where she would return to action at her age wasn't sounding so hot of an idea.
I hope my future wife looks half as good as Weaver does when she she hits 70!

Well, if he can get with the program we may get a proper GB-sequel which completely ignores the existence of GB:ATC. I haven't seen anything directed by Jason Reitman though so I don't know what to expect in ~12 months.

Obviously I'm a huge fan of the Original Ghostbuster movies (I loved the second too which many didn't)
Am I the only one that STILL hasn't watched that abomination of a third (or whatever the fuck they wanna call it) movie with an all female cast?
I literally watched the trailer to that and vomited a little in my mouth. I can't bring myself to watch it. Did all of you guys watch that movie?
I'm 50/50 on the 2020 reboot. On one hand it's ghostbusters! But on the other hand I think this should have been years ago when all the crew were still alive
