I got 100mbit (fibre) around 5 years ago... Then i decided i didn't really need that kind of speed anyways (i don't download a ton of stuff like i used to) so i canceled it and got something cheaper (10mbit).

After a few weeks a realized i was still on the old connection so i canceled again. For some reason this old 100mbit connection still works and its also been upgraded it seems, its 124 now, and i pay nothing.

Can't complain Very Happy obviously i have zero support though. If it goes down i have no idea why. One time it went down for an entire day so i thought it had just been taken away for good, so i quickly got something else. But the next day it worked again and fortunately i could cancel the new ISP hehe

At least the download is stable Sad

Enabled the bandwidth limiter on my router, seems a little better now (upload is too high though, I only have 5mbit). But it's now during day, I expect it significantly worse at night again (ISP overselling Mad)

Wish there was fiber here, but given our governments attitude towards things I'll be long dead Crying or Very sad

On topic again... you can now stream games through Steam to remote PCs

Steam In-Home Streaming is experimentally available outside the home, and is now known as Steam Remote Play. Your Steam clients can now stream games from each other wherever they are, as long as there is a good network connection on both sides and they are close to a Steam datacenter

The Steam Summer sale is just around the corner! We're going to try something different with the event this year. While there will still be an event and rewards, we won't be featuring special trading cards, or any mysterious cards in the lead-up to the sale. Keep your eye out for more details when the sale launches, it should be a fun event.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

So they are saying you must really like useless badges I guess especially going by the last few events.

You know sin. He's better and more mature now. Especially after getting a wife, so he jabs at people for pointless things like this now, instead of doing the immature thing, which is to stay quiet. Better, more mature.

I'm always looking forward to Steam sales. Even though the deals are not usually so good anymore and can find most of the titles on other sites for less money, it always makes me happy knowing that big sale is going on.

I'm mostly excited about some indie and less popular games which are quite rare to find somewhere else for a good price.

Did they actually say"no cards". I thought the statement was about the period "Leading up to the sale"

Either way, I always look forward to these sales. A large part of my wishlist is always hitting a new low.

Steal sales died for me the day they stopped giving daily discounts. It meant the discounts were not as big as they used to be and the fun of checking the sales every day was over. It killed the "community" around it - most of my Steam friends were on all the time because of this system and it was fun to chat and see who bought what. All that ... gone.

With prices going up, everyone I know lost interest. Most of them know about key sites where you can get games cheaper than even Steam games on sale so why bother?

ARS helps to skew that a lot. If you getting 50% off of an already 'discounted' 66% lower price. That is as good or better than those flash deals of yore.
