Well.. did not wanted to spend more than I did on mackie cr3, so I've ordered Presonus eris e3.5. Shame about Mackie. I like the sound and looks but the psu/amp is dying. Popping faster every day Laughing
It was either Presonus 3.5 or M-Audio AV42. Other stuff is either too expensive for my needs, ugly, too big or just not available here. e3.5 have good reviews and looks nice. Should be here in a few days...
edit: lol the Mackies repaired themselves and no longer pop.... and the seller have not yet sent presonus. So I cancelled the damn order Laughing

Oh no my Mackie CR3 is constantly crackling quietly... reconnecting all the cables does not help. I will try some things but the possibility is, I might need new speakers/speaker.
edit: redoing all the cables and flipping all the switches few times did not work.
It crackles and pops constantly at low volumes like a ticking clock. Probably the amp is going out. The active speaker hot in the back.
I think the next speaker/s will need to have bluetooth for future compatibility (maybe with ps5)... Mackie cr4bt might be a safe bet. Edifier r1280DB looks ok too

So it looks like i was right in not getting those after all, according to a lot of reviews at the time i was searching for speakers these become faulty almost always within a year.. sry for your loss Very Happy

So I got the sound Blaster X7 any way, for 120$ so I could not resist. App works like a charm.

Now I just need Bluetooth so I can remove all those USB cords.

Bluetooth puts you in the opposite direction of the whole point of getting that audio setup. It compresses your signal before sending it off. Just look up wire management ideas and throw the idea of bluetooth in the trash.

Nice, what's the amp you're using to run it?

Bluetooth is for the keyboard and controller (and the app). Wink

Oh neat, didn't know they got into the small amp market. Seems Class D is taking over everything these days. Still like my Class A but the weight/heat savings on class D is pretty great.

Yeah, man, I had the Q Acoustics 3060S Sub connected to it, and boy, it pumps out a pretty decent low, lol (then again, it had a 150W D amp built in). Was nice, but not for my little place Wink Anyone thinking of getting one though, I thoroughly recommend, without a doubt Smile

If you want a great little sub for a small room check out the Polk PSW111. I got it in my office with my Focal Chorus bookshelfs and it's a nice little subwoofer.

So mackie cr3 indeed started constantly popping again... so I've ordered Presonus Eris e3.5...
Holy fuck these sound so good. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
I could go for e4.5 but these are just small and I need the space. 3.5" woofers do surprisingly good job. Even compared to bassy mackie cr3. I really liked sound of Mackies but I am happy to hear that Presonus sound is more detailed and the bass is not as boxy (and there is certainly enough of it but its not a sub!). That said- cr3 was perfectly fine until it broke!
So tho those who bought CR3 because of me - You did good... but when will break look at Presonus Laughing
