The social part does not bother much, if you don't look directly at it.
Problem is the screen is filled with this rewarding system, which you can't disable completely: you get rewards and messages even for the slightest burps.
You get awards for clean racing.
You get awards for dirty racing.
You basically get awards for standing up in the morning, double if you go and wash your face, triple if you combo it with teeth.
just seen my first player created race above the minimap.
so i pressed LB to join.
the race started and i noticed it was 50 laps, each lap around the whole map, so a PRETTY long race in total.
i didn't wanted to quit, in hope he does and so i did race like almost the complete first lap, then he quit.
then the rewards came: around 70 lvls, 90 wheelspins and 4m credits.
can anyone tell me wtf this was? did this guy abuse somekind of bug and i profit from this?
or was it a cheater? his lvl was like 600
I don't know, but let me guess. The game scales the rewards based on the length of the race. This guy creates these ludicrous races, hopes someone drops in, races them until the other guy quits and is declared winner, reaps rewards. You simply outlasted him so he went off to make another marathon, hoping to get a quitter this time.

oh great i can't use my wheel because it has not enough buttons.
only because two buttons are missing which need to be mapped.
like i couldn't use "accept" or "map" on a controller besides me or on the keyboard. it NEEDS to be mapped on the wheel. MADNESS
fucking assholes. no way im gonna buy another wheel just for this game.
and yes i know, this game is made for controllers, still i had my old wheel and wanted to test it, even though it may suck.
uhhh so i did all races and all "story" related stuff.
shouldn't the championships/tournaments pop up now?
i mean in forza 3 you could get a tournament out of every race and now in 4 i can't see anything but those 3-4 season tournaments.
also where can i see how much % of the game is already completed?
in forza horizon 3 it was under statistics like everything else but here i can't find it.
somehow i had more fun with forza horizon 3, even tho i played the cracked version and didn't played online.
forza horizion 4 has way less stuff to do in general and tries to fill this up with multiplayer stuff and the useless seasons, which all drive the same.
forza horizion 4 is still fun, it runs and looks great, but it's a huge step down from horizon 3.
if you got it cheap like for 20 euros i guess it's ok if you want to play with friends in multiplayer.
im more then happy with my 2 euros spend, now i can play gears of war and sea of thieves in the last 5 free weks of game pass. if i would have played forza a little bit more, even the 14 days trial would have been enough to play to all the single player content.

Well I've gave it a go. Got gamepass for 1$ for crackdown 3 (repetitive but ok game), so why not give forza 4 a try. I hated horizon 3 because of "You are in the center, I will give You a car if You please put Your dick in my mouth! IT"S YOUR FESTIVAL" That game was soooo annoying and boring.
This one... well for starters - Main character is no longer a center of the universe. You are a "rookie" but get a free mansion 30min into the game - well ok. The british setting is ok, seasons are meaningless, music is crap, graphics are great although quite a lot of specular aliasing even at native 4k.
It's fine I guess but it's soulless and boring. Everything takes fucking forever. Even just buying new car takes way too long. And they removed ford victoria crown so what's the point of this game if they replaced it with 50 dumborghini models. Most interesting cars are paid DLC too, so this sucks.
In short - it's annoying, boring, soulless, great visuals
