Klipsch you'll need to hear in person. Horn tweeters are not like your normal tweeters you're used to. They can be very unforgiving on certain material and might take a bit to get used to.
The rest are really good but the only one that doesn't really belong in a list like that is Edifier.
Edifier makes really good stuff but they're budget entry level stuff. They're not bad by any means, if it fits your budget out of the others go for them, but you also need to remember yours source materal as well.
Are you running an optical out of your TV straight into something? Are these hooking up to a receiver? Shit in, shit out. You can have the nicest speakers around but it's all for nothing if the source they're connected to is shit, like onboard sound on a computer.
I would get a5+ for 200$ myself. It's 500usd here and a bit too big for my desk but it's nice. All in all it's just a simple speaker with a knob in the front and that's what a computer speaker should be. I only have mackie cr3 and while they do buzz "sometimes", the sound is pretty great for the price

This will be connected to my computer, I'm thinking of connecting it using Xonar U7, USB sound card. So computer->U7->speakers.
A pair of KRK G4's or V4's should fit nicely. They've introduced some nice features with Gen4. Wish I could trade in my G3's for G4's. I'm happy with my G3's though. While KRK are mostly for music production they are excellent for other audio usage as well. The V-series are for studios and are more expensive; a single KRK V4 Series 4" (the smallest) 2-way powered studio reference monitor is $399 on Amazon. That's for a single speaker. If you want the 8" you'll have to shell out $799 for each speaker.
91 out of 100. Incorporating 950+ ratings and reviews.
I think I gave 2500:- for my pair. Not sure what the G4's go for (new version). You'd probably want a subwoofer with those even though they have "some" bass (which is unusual for monitors usually meant for studio production etc.) but they're going to give you some cleeeeeean tones.
JBL is an excellent brand. Haven't checked out their small sized speakers though.
Do you have a music store near you? Go there and check if you can test-listen to them.
What I learnt the same day I got them: these kind of high-end speakers for good desktops and home/small studios doesn't sound ANYTHING like the you-name-it PC speakers whether it's creative or Logitech etc.
They're active. They aim for a neutral sound (ie. they don't color or change the sound). They are built sturdy (as the guy in the video said, the KRK 5's that I've got are heavy as hell).
It took a while for me to get used to them (I got them for recording music with a DAW) since I was used to my Logitech-something with subwoofer and my KRK's sounded "tame" to me. As I got used to it I started to notice the difference in produced sound quality. Crisp highs, controlled lows, sweet mids, everything clear as day. You obviously don't play 128kbit mp3's through a pair of these.
So, I accualy went, they had the krk but boxed so I cold not listen to them, staff claimd they were base heavy. What I was instead offered was to listen to Adam t5v. Got chills listening to some 8bit music on spotify. Liked them. Did not buy as I'm yet to have the money for it.
Never heard of them. As for the KRK's being bass heavy, that's basically a matter of preference. They do have adjustments on the back to drop the low frequencies as you saw in the video.
If you really liked those Adam t5v's, go for it. I personally tend not to trust staff since they are usually biased and want to sell what they own themselves but it's just a quirk I've picked up.
I also think the KRK's look awesome with their yellow elements/drivers.

Opnions?
Adam audio is absolutely fucking the tits. They were on my list of speakers to look at but I ended up getting a pair of Focal Chorus bookshelf speakers instead since i got them for like 200 bucks off.
Got my speakers today. Bought second hand, but, they were from a home theater system that was never put together, so they were new in box. Nice
Connected to my gaming setup for testing I had terrible static, moving my mouse made a terrible noise. Terrible hissing when used and not used. Terrible.
Thinking I would have to sped even more on a proper sound system I plugged them in to the computer I would accualy use then with. Well, I have no mouse connected to that computer so no issue there, hissing almost gone, could only hear it with my ear right next to the tweeter.
So all is now well.
Well, I don't know if I'm a normi, but having them on the flor and not sitting in the center, I can't really hear a differens from my creative t20. Maybe bigger and louder sound but maybe that's all there is?
For now this works, did have a 2 cracks in sound during my short testing. Will buy proper gear between the computer and the speaker one day. I'm eyeing the creative x7 for now. Other suggestions?
That would be ground loop. HUGE headache. I'm not entirely sure how your power works over there but if you have a 3rd prong on the power cord that's grounded, see if you can find a 3 to 2 prong connector to remove the ground.
The stupid not so right way but best way to explain it is it's basically fighting other grounded units on which one is using the grounded line. It's a fucking hassle but the adapter is the best fix. Otherwise, google ground loop fix and have fun spending the next week reading on different ways to fix it lol.
As for setup, the basic rule of thumb is the triangle setup. You want equal spacing between each speaker that each speaker sits from you. So if you're 10 feet from the left speaker, you want to be 10 from the right speaker, and 10 feet between the speakers themselves.
Then you want the tweeters ear level or tilted so it's aiming at your ears. Either way works. Tweeters have a very narrow projection cone vs what the woofer does.
Then turn each speaker in a little bit. When you look at it, you shouldn't be able to see the sides, only the face of the speaker. So if it's a couch, sit in the middle and look at each speaker and turn them in till only the faces are visible. Not the sides.
I've actually got those very same speaker stands in my office holding up my Focals haha. They're great.
As for the Creative, you're paying for a name and nothing else and their stuff can go kick dirt as far as I'm concerned.
See if you have anything from Topping over there. The new MX3 is well reviews by Z.
Will look in to this grounding issue, I was recently in a electronic shop and overheard someone wanting something similar, when staff responded to this it sounded kinda taboo.
I have been reading about this triangle, but I would have done it wrong without the info you provide here. Especially the part about not seeing the sides.
As this is all new i don't have a default store. But https://www.prisjakt.nu/ list all the stores available in Sweden.
Haven't gotten to experience them but they make some really god damn nice speakers for what you pay.
Thx.
Just grabbed the 3020i's, which are marginally better, seemingly (and never knew they existed, lol)
Got a good deal in a bundle, with a nice lil Denon amp (PMA-60), and saved a few bucks Arrives next week, unfortunately, due to holiday weekend
Been a while since I spent on sound stuff, but I figure the saving on not buying into the '20 series' GPU shit, is well spent elsewhere
I really cant help myself can I?
Seriously though, good deal for the set @ £599 for both, considering the amp sells for nearly that alone in some places, and the speakers for not much less in UK. The stands were on offer for half the cost as well, so I threw them in also
Oh wow, didn't know Denon made something small like that. Class D has come a long way and are starting to sound really nice. Still like Class A better but eh.
Those 3020 are pretty inefficient so depending on how big a room you're going to play them in, you may have trouble with peak power on them. Denon included a sub out which is fucking neat-o so if it's just an office sized room, you'll be fine, grab a Polk PSW111. It's a really nice small subwoofer. I got one running and it fills in the bottom end very well.
There's also the Kanto Sub8, if either of those can be had around you.
That Z guy is a joke. He barely talks about audio characteristics and measurements. His videos are just 20 minutes of rambling about how soft the brainwavz hm5 pads are on the headphones he reviews at the time. He is a lunatic and a very bad reviewer

True
He used to be a lot more serious in his reviews. But it seems all the clowns really like his nonsense, which used to be sidelined. Now his videos are basically just the nonsense with maybe something technical if it's a full moon.
Oh no my Mackie CR3 is constantly crackling quietly... reconnecting all the cables does not help. I will try some things but the possibility is, I might need new speakers/speaker.
edit: redoing all the cables and flipping all the switches few times did not work.
It crackles and pops constantly at low volumes like a ticking clock. Probably the amp is going out. The active speaker hot in the back.
I think the next speaker/s will need to have bluetooth for future compatibility (maybe with ps5)... Mackie cr4bt might be a safe bet. Edifier r1280DB looks ok too
