Today, we will be deploying a minor PC hotfix very shortly that will address the following issues:
Removes Denuvo DRM (We saw a few requests.)
Enables Crash Reporter for error reporting
Fixes occasional crash related to Scaleform
Fixes occasional crash on startup
Fixes issue where Bethesda.net users would always default to English
Razer Chroma effects enabled by default
That is a pretty fast Denuvo removal, guess they realized the game is already a failure so they don't want to pretend anymore and this might end up helping it run better overall for most that actually bought it.

They released the game on their own launcher without Denuvo and a pirated version is already out for the masses. Having Denuvo at this point is just ... pointless...
This has nothing to do with sales or whatever.
That being said, took me 9 hours, but you could probably finish it in like 6.
It's meh. Tries to be many games, but isn't as good as any of them.
If the info about D licencisng costs were true then it's 100k bucks for AAA title.
Not sure about what you meant by actual polish as the game seems more polished than any recent AAA game out there. The performance alone deserves at least some praise.
I'm still early in the game but haven't encountered any bugs or annoyences apart from meleeing crates or lack of flashlight in dark places.
The gameplay feels smooth, gunplay is satisfactory, rest is mediocre.
You found one and they are everywhere, well for obsessed and full of fear people maybe, they are everywhere.
I saw several in every major settlement - that one just happened to be a merchant/interactable. And it's not obsession, but it is pretty fucking jarring when what is clearly a dude with veiny arms in a halter top with lipstick tells you his name is Mama. If that doesn't have you do a double take then you're probably on a LOT of Valium.
Honestly I couldn't give a rats ass - but when you take out my post-apocolyptic bimbos and replace them with shit like that, yea, I take notice.

The codex hotfix mentions removing denuvo? Bethesda removed it from steam also so it wasn't codex who removed it! They made it sound like they removed it???
I have an LG OLED E8, it has a stellar screen, and low input too, good for gaming. HDR truly shines on this. I never was a fan of any hyped up gimmick, but HDR really is great - for me, so much more important than 4k. The best I have seen so far in a game is HZD, that looked great for me.
The only game I tried HDR on PC was AssCreed Odyssey, was not that impressed tbh.
Creed is mastered at 2000 nits iirc, which is much above the 700 peak brightness of OLEDs. You need to play around with the settings to make Creed games shine on OLED.
I started playing this after finishing plague tale and whoever wrote the dialogue or anything in this game should do something else for a living.
It's one of those rare times where jim sterling describes exactly how this game makes me feel.

Beg, Borrow or Steal....it's a fun game and I'm having a great time with it!!!
The only fun part is the combat and IdTech's work shows there. The rest is absolute garbage. The open world looks pretty but it's almost like a first person mod for just cause. An Engine specifically made for third person gameplay. And god what kind of person would find anything in this game charming or even remotely funny? When it's not cringe worthy it's absolutely boring to the point of annoyance.
