theres probably a better optimised engine on the phone that runs better on more than one cpu core unlike the creation engine which is a bit creaky and showing its age.
needs a lot of single core ipc cpu grunt to do all the phyics and ai etc since most of the game doesnt seem to be multithreaded. along with a decent gfx card on the pc. i could be wrong though.

+ those mobile games usually don't have that many objects running at the same time. Usually the games gave few objects at the time compared to some PC games. Though it's not that mobile GPU performance hasn't improved much much better than cheap PC GPUs'.

I think it wasn't there before, but now the GIGABYTE site has the 2070 Ver2.0 on some of their cards, along the normal one (However, if you check on non 2.0 cards, the next page shows ver2.0 at the title of the article (one page is white texted, other is orange texted)

That includes WINDFORCE and GAMING 8G..
The thing is, looking at the specs, there's no difference in such... Do you think that this REV 2.0 would mean they've updated the "bins" (or whatever it's called), updated the GBPS, or even more importantly... Fixed those dead batched cards so they don't finally fail anymore?
I know that it's been said that the 1st batch sucked and the rest is safe, but even then there's still dead cards here and there nowadays
Now that i see REV 2.0 there might be a little bit of hope on buying one.. The thing is.. Hope someone tests it..Or whatever.. (My GTX 970 is a REV 1.0 card)
I have a small question though, just incase. My monitor, a BenQ XL2420T , has a Displayport 1.2. If i ever get the GIGABYTE WINDFORCE RTX 2070, wich doesn't have DVI-D (RIP) but DP, will i still be able to use the monitor's 120hz function?..

Batch doesn't mean version. TSMC had a slight accident with too much of a certain chemical used in silicon production which caused a small batch of bad GPU-cores. That was fixed quickly and unless you buy a second hand 2070/2080/2080Ti you have nothing to worry about.
Often when a manufacturer like MSI, Gigabyte etc. change version number on their cards it's either to fix something minor or change some component for cost reduction reasons that doesn't affect the performance of the card.

Ah.. For a moment i tought it'd resolve possible such issues or have a much lower percentage of errors etc..
Still it's good to know about that. I'll have to check in a few weeks if my fav shop in Barcelona has such 2.0 at the box's white sticker (They never sell refurbished/used cards).. If it does have 2.0 then i'll be considering getting one.. A big ugprade from my GTX 970 G1 GAMING.
PS: What about the Displayport topic?..What i don't want to do is to buy another monitor..

I don't currently use DP so I can't answer that. I'm currently looking at a new monitor and will have to look all that up before purchase (but I'm on a 'lowly' 1060 6GB).

From when we first heard about Navi until now, it was always supposed to be midrange 1080 level performance. It was supposed to be GCN again. Nothing shocking here, dont expect high-end. Navi was developed for midrange.

Somewhat disappointed about the pricing. The rest I "knew" but it was always rumored as having a classic AMD pricing list. Still, they seem cheaper than the Geforce GPU's they're aiming for. We'll see.

Afaik Navi was developed in cooperation with Sony for PS5. They will perhaps compete with 2060/2070 (depending on the game) but not very well and I suspect AMD has its eyes on the console market more than on the PC market atm.

u will see nothing but cashgrabs from nvidia milking every last penny from gamers while they still can in the next three years, they know their days are numbered in the low end sector and they wil lgo full apple our customers are special and our products are expensive retard mode
im 6 months now without a gfx card, and used to be a hardcore gamer with stuff like voodoo 2 , very first geforce box still on my shelves .... . all my stuff running just fine on a ryzen 5 except maybe a handfull games where i need to slide it down to medium/low.
U can buy a full laptop with a 1050-1060 for the price of theserip off gfx cards roflol.
(not to mention not a single card i bought after 2010 still works, ati 6970, dead after one year, nvidia 570, dead after two, second hand 680, dead after 4, this shit all built to fail)
and guess what, my voodoo 2 and 4870s , still working ...
do urselves all a favor, sell your cards before ur warranty runs out and play on medium/high , ur eyes wont notice difference anyway while playing, only in screenshots ud notice

you okay? I never had any issues with my cards ever. I don't want to insult you, but i would check my eyes if you have issues seing the difference between medium/high and ultra settings or even 30/60/90 fps

I guess pickup is just bitter because he can't afford high-end cards these days and wanna go on a rant. I had my Radeon 7950OC between 2012 and late 2018 when it broke. That's 6+ years for a constantly overclocked card. Now I don't know what to do with the cooler (Arctic Cooling Extreme 7970).
