So for five minutes he can't choose what to show off in the game as interesting. Then when he does, it's such borefest. He shoot for 2 minutes, then spends 10 minutes looking for chests.
This looks terrible. LOD management looks really bad, items changing from low detail to high detail 2m from the view port Gameplay looks really boring. Meh

You really need to check vitamin D in your blood, for real, get a blood test.
Doesn't Pey usually have a ton of media from his review website and often getting involved in early testing although this is Bethesda and their criteria for NDA's and availability so that's a thing too.
(Quite a few reviewers just rushed through the game although I suppose that is absolutely unsurprising and happens quite a few times even with less tight windows to be "FIRST!!" with media and articles on the web ha ha.)
I'll be checking the game out once Yakuza Kiwami 2 gets wrapped up, waiting on a patch or two and maybe some of the extra content though with the AMD and NVIDIA drivers now out and reports about performance and stability being fine that's a good start although the game bugs and issues requiring a mission restart is a thing they need to look into.
And screenshot wise I saw some posted on Era so just grab those like so.
As to the game visuals well I'd say it's on par with Mad Max and Just Cause 3 but in a first person perspective and some newer advancements and tech of course.
The APEX engine can do a good job but it might not be one of the most advanced engines out there but Avalanche has a pretty good game engine and it usually performs well although the New York studio and Just Cause 3 and Just Cause 4 would have needed more time whereas Mad Max and Just Cause 2 really shine.
Hunter Call of the Wild looks excellent too but the foliage and such makes downsampling really helpful in order to remove shimmering and aliasing and such it might not be quite photo realism but the environments can be quite stunning.
Lots of settings too and effects like chromatic aberration and others can be disabled as well.

Wat does vitamin d got to do with anything he said?
The months of trailers would probably have been a clear indicator and it's by Avalanche after Just Cause and Mad Max where even Mad Max had some odd moments in-between the touching moments about a man who loved his V8 maybe a little too much.
EDIT: Though yeah compared to Carmack and idSoftware and RAGE being a story about the entire planet being mooned (Though not quite to the extent of Serious Sam 3) yes it's been dialed up to 11 which I guess you could also compare Saints Row 2 to the progression from that to Agents of Mayhem.
It's what sells I suppose, still a 8 - 10 hour story but open world for reasons of sales and tons of padded out barely worth it side stuff, collectibles and of course micro transactions.
I quite enjoy it so far. It's clearly not like the "new deus ex", "new vampire bloodlines", "new doom"...etc.
It's a more of the same situation, but hey, almost nothing big so far in 2019 so why not?
and bethesda store PE doesn't have denuvo.

I could deal with that, if the description of the game world wasn't so dreary. As someone mentioned before, slapping open-world on a FPS to make if seem like you've got more than you actually do is lame. Just make it a 10HR affair and slot in replayability other ways.
So basically they fucked this up just like the Saint's Row series? Over the top supposed to be fun action and weird pink color palette?
Would take SR3/4 over this any day. The world fit well in SR compared to this where it is so dull and every place has the same objective. Find X chests/kill X guys... The characters are also terrible and the story is big meh so far.

The shooting is really good, I like it.
The open world is meh, not into it.
The driving is atrociously, really, reall fucking bad.
Graphics are very mediocre for 2019 and performance for me is very good.
Even Mad Max driving felt better than this. Shooting alone is good and carrying the game. What a waste.
