Days Gone checks all the boxes of a proverbial PlayStation exclusive, but never feels like it’s stepping on anyone else’s toes. Despite the games, film, and TV that you can easily draw comparisons too, Days Gone handles it all in such a way that it has its own unique identity. The more I played it, the more I loved it, until finally finishing the long journey and not wanting the adventure to end. Sam Witwer is brilliant as Deacon St. John, and his journey of survival, humanity, and self-discovery through a deadly world via motorcycle is a memorable one that shouldn’t be missed.
Looks like kind of flawed game I would enjoy very much like Alan Wake, Fuel or Infamous 2nd son. Think I will get this. The mountain rainy atmosphere is what gets me

SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"

Played for a couple of hours, and it feels like a quality game. Yes it has a few bugs, but nothing that major. It has upgrades, it has stealth, it has nice graphics. Its kinda like people have said over and over in the reviews... this game does nothing new, but its fun to play
Downloading the 24gb patch now... how to fuck can it be that big. Dayum.

Watched a stream. The bike parts are a senseless fucking chore, just a cheap trick to connect story locations and extend gameplay. The rest of the gameplay is decent unless you're forced to spy on someone and listen to the same banter after getting caught and restarting the checkpoint.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube
Can I expect any kind of story and/or world lore from this game, or is it pure sandbox?
Seems to be pretty story/cutscene/dialogue heavy if you're going for the missions and not just screwing around in the wild.
Quite a bit of lore in the first few hours already too.
About 3 hours in, enjoying it so far.
The environments look beautiful. Wish I could turn off the UI. Oh and fuck whoever keeps pushing for "hold x to do anything". Just let me press the damn button! So sick of holding buttons for every little thing.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.

There is supposed to be 6 hours of cutscenes in this game. Its huge and long (yeah, thats what she said)... The backstory is important, finding out piece by piece to uncover/ or just show the player the past.. well no spoilers. So yeah, the game is story heavy, but so far I cant imagine there actually is that many or long cut scenes. And there are no fucking QTEs, obviously a good thing.
And remember, you dont see the whole map at first, but it uncovers (to the south)
Been playing the game as well, it not like on the level of Uncharted, the new God of War, The last of Us, The Witcher 3, etc. But still very decent game imo just like Spider-Man imo. Have played worse games then this..
What's with the "unlock" things in these games.. for immersion loot should always be found either by skill or by pure chance, that makes it really interesting to explore the world because there might be stuff to find..
We really don't need this shit with "you completed 200 kills! Here's your reward!" that belongs in a platformer or an arcade game.
the free content seems pretty lame overall. it's something a couple of modders could do over a weekend, for a big studio it's a few hours of effort to very little cost.
still, kind of interested in the game, but wouldnt buy for full price.
aaaand i bought the game. I like it! Yes, it is the same formula all these games has, clear camp etc.. but its a well made game i think, i like this better than State of Decay (..which is a bit different, a bit more unique perhaps).
The FPS in this game is kind of shit (PS4 Pro), it ranges from 20-30'ish.. really wish this was a PC game. Overall great though, might not be one i finish, but i rarely do.

I wish every console exclusive comes on pc. Then i wouldn't have to buy consoles anymore.
I really don't understand why people say it starts slowly, not my experience.
The locations are really cool, doesn't feel like 3D assets dropped here and there. The procedural snow and rain effects are amazing. It's some of the most realistic graphics i've ever seen, sometimes its hard to distinguish from a movie. Major drawback is the FPS, this games graphics should probably have been tuned down, it's too advanced for a PS4 Pro.
The controls are good too (unlike RDR2).
The dude you play and the people surrounding him, don't care the least. His GF, very cringe, couldn't give a shit. The voice acting can be hilarious, he screams at the fucking radio. First time i heard it i wondered who the hell he was screaming to, in the middle of nowhere. wtf? a normal person would mumble something perhaps but no.. he's an idiot and he looks like a douche. overall story and characters/dialogue does not match the rest of the game, it's like its done by teenagers, it's a bit unfortunate.
Finished this tonight... what a magFUCKINGnificent game! Jesus Christ this was the definition of a masterpiece! Story, characters, voice acting, music, graphics, gameplay ... magnificent. This has been one of the finest games I have ever played, on the PS4 or any other system.
Simply superb. I rank this so much higher than Last of Us, by the greatest margin
Yeah yeah, NFOhate won't agree and I'll get all the derp smilies for daring to claim something is better than The Last of Us .. I don't care ^_^
For me this too was by far one the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ended up playing this nearly every night until I finished it. I enjoyed RDR but I fucking loved DG.
Hands down the most underrated game that I nearly passed by.
Can’t wait for the sequel
One thing that bothered me
Spoiler:
Where the fuck does Sarah disappear to after completing the game?
