I think Shift codes were free no? And they gave like 5 a week to everyone etc. plus other sources could give them away or whatever. I don't remember them being sold.

well, those weapons were "ok" for levelling, but they were garbage later game anyway.
From what I remember from BL2, you needed these codes to get some decent stuff as the drops were piss poor after ~25% of progress. Hope that's better in BL3.

Nice discussion by fat fuck british annoying drama queen #1. I think what I want is just to ignore this Magician Drama and just hope the actual game is good. I feel bad for the developers who has to work for such a retard like Randy Pitchford though.
Watched some more gameplay videos and I've to say, it does look better. It's just the art style that makes it look so familiar. But it's clearly a step up from BL2 and TPS.
Borderlands alumni Troy Baker and Nolan North will also not be returning to reprise their respective roles, either. Initially, Pitchford said he was "told by the audio director" that Baker had turned the role down, but the voice actor refuted this, saying he would "love to come back" but "[Gearbox Software] said I'm not coming back".

Regarding the Shift codes: you can still get them. They give them each Friday. One week for BL2, the other week for BL:TPS. You can get 5 on Twitter and 5 on Facebook.
