I like how Epic who gave up on PC gaming in the mid 2000s are now being touted as the savior of the PC gaming market (by publishers lmao).
But all they're doing is bringing to the PC one of the things that make consoles suck, exclusivity.
Though I can understand most of the consumers who support Epic since they probably only know Epic for Fortnite and not even Gears as they were still wee babes in the 2000s.

This is 2019, not 2003 so that argument is worthless.
Especially if you're releasing an online store nowadays to compete directly with steam and have a ton of money behind you, it's just pure laziness to not launch your store without those features.

Epic is cancer. Period.
Back in the days, the said PC Gaming was dead and not worth investing time or money in. They said even, that what they are doing now with the Epic Store, someone else would do (in a negative way lol, the irony...).
Epic was lucky with fortnite, another cancer in the gaming world and now they think they know best.
Yes, Steam has to change their business model, especially when it comes to how much money they'll take, but this, how Epic is doing it, by FORCING people onto their platform, if they want to play Game X or Y, is just CANCEROUS.
I hope they burn all their fortnite money and die in a blistering hell of cancer (not a person, the store, don't ban me for that plx

Well the amount of junk steam has is 
So if they (epic) truly include just quality games in their store then its a good thing, since whenever I want to filter out the junk I just browse that store and that's it.

Sweeney's too full of himself to not parade the numbers around twitter were they selling as much as games on Steam. Pure bollocks. Publishers wouldn't need a bunch of money up front if they believed in their trash store.

Epic Store launched with no features. They turned the Epic launcher into a store over night and then they started acquiring exclusives.
The argument that Steam didn't have any of these features back in 2003 is absolutely pathetic. Would you buy a smartphone from a new company if that phone had the same functions like a 15 years old phone?

Also it was a short time only for them to adapt, noone expected that the BR shit from Fortnite would explode like this and earn them the shit ton of money in the first place. They wanted to adapt and with the money they could do what theyve done now.
