(Via PC, ofcourse, not Android etc)

But i'm NOT talking about a playlist.. When i open a video in a new tab (mouse wheel click) and i go to such vid, there's the vid shown, but the "Play button" is at the center, forcing you to click it... This hasn't happened for years

Anyone else got this issue too?

If I select this link and rightclick and open in new tab, then it doesn't autoplay. As soon as I switch to that tab, it starts playing immediately. Latest stable Firefox on Windows 8.1 x64

I also get a play/pause button. I can click Play without switching to the tab. Try disabling all your addons.

Even with uBlock Origin and the JDownloader 2 addons disabled the issue persists

Got this bug today. I doubt that it's flash player issue. Don't have that virus installed. And yt is mostly html5 now.

According to Mozilla, the feature will go live on March 19, once Firefox 66 launches on both desktop and Android. With the update, Firefox will block any audible autoplay audio or video on a newly opened site.

That didn't worked.

EDIT: FIXED!. Open up any video, for example this one

Then go to the URL's LEFT SIDE (next to the "Green Lock") and there should be a "Prohibited/blocked" grey sign with a speaker in it. Click that and change the bottom option's Block to Allow. Restart the tab. TADA!

Yeah i have nothing like that Laughing maybe it was there before i cleared the cache.
But im glad you fixed it.
I forgot to mention that i also had problems on reddit with small videos from vreddit playing. They were enlarged if not on full screen and when scrolling down on the comments page the video will follow shadowing the comment section Laughing
But its all fixed now. Smile
