Vice 8/10

Perhaps a bit too 'flashy' considering its subject. The moments it breaks the 4th wall are pretty funny though (like the fake ending).
Christian Bale's transformation to Dick Cheney is uncanny. He got robbed from the oscars for sure. Probably because of the subject matter.

Lego Movie 2 7/10

Much lesser than the original, although a direct sequel. It still has it's moments though.
But my favorite part? The end credits & song Very Happy (make sure you watch this with the lyrics)

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

Short Circuit [7/10]
I still enjoy this ol movie. Its so clear where Wall-E got its inspiration from.
Short Circuit 2 [6/10]
Home alone alike movie, but despite it being almost too cringy at some points - its still
enjoyable.
Dark Star [3/10]
I know this one is more or less a low budget school project...but to know that John
Carpenter once made this is not enough for me to enjoy this crap. Razz

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Dragged Across Concrete - 7/10

Mel Gibson joins Vince Vaughn in another movie by the guy behind Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99. Theyr'e cops. They get suspended. Things happen. Slowly. It's fairly predictable.

I've liked all 3 of his movies so far.

Bumblebee - 6/10

Plenty of emotional stuff, so no surprise it was well received.

BUT. A lot of the comedy feels out of place, especially with the soldier dude (at least it's not creepy/disgusting like in Bay's films), and there's barely any action and stakes in the film for a modern blockbuster. It's also just too family friendly all round. And somewhat boring.

Ah, what can I say, it's better than the other films, but still meh.

Is it out already? And which grade did you gave the other 2?

7.5 for Brawl and 7? for Bone Tomawhawk. Haven't seen Bone Tomahawk in over 3 years, so I'd have to rewatch it.

Predictable, unexciting and boring as an action comedy movie can be while lacking endearment.

Dragged across concrete 9/10, finally a half decent movie and refreshing to see something non-pc for a change. ADHD marvel generation going to have trouble with 120 minute slow burn film like this one. Rock solid character building, lots of tension building and killer performances from Mel, Vince, Michael and the supporting cast..

One thing i didnt understand:

Dragged across concrete 6.5/10 - I enjoyed it greatly for the most part, but kinda goes a bit too weird towards the end, so I'm knocking of a 1.5, otherwise might have been an 8/10.

DAC - 7.5/10

Nice one. The action was believable, neat small humour touches (the black gloves guy at the shop Laughing ) and the acting was great as you would expect from Mel and Vaughn. Had some weird dialogs from time to time tho.

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote - 6/10

After 29 years of wild drama and more nightmarish hallucinations than Gilliam could count it's finally out...and it's just as ingeniously chaotic as one would expect. Imagination runs free, scenes of pure charm and joviality intertwine with sloppy lolwut ones, though both Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce are excellent and manage to keep the giants in check. One hell of a messy rollercoaster, but I'm glad it exists xD

Dragged Across Concrete (2018) 7,5/10

I liked it and Mel Gibson did a good job here imo, always loved his acting. Movie was long, but it kept the suspense all the way through.

The Hollow Point (2016) 6/10

Like a modern western, not too bad. Smile

Us 5.5/10. Well executed movie, but I didn't like the story, motivation, "plot twist" and action. Get Out had a much more interesting concept Smile

Marwencol, the documentary, is way way better than this. I did feel sympathy for the guy. He's mentally ill after what he suffered, in a harmless way imho.

Mfkz - 7/10

I can't say whether it was good or bad. I did enjoy it (parts of it at any rate) and found the story interesting but they treated it like it was mainly in the background with the focus on the characters. Animation style wasn't bad at all although a bit different.

Bohemian Rhapsody 6/10

Raimi Malek sure can lip sync... but I'm sure now: Christian Bale got robbed Smile

Casting was nice, but I couldn't help thinking about Brian and Roger being on the set every day to make sure their persona's and image of the band weren't portayed in the wrong way, and to make sure they come out positive.

Any problems with the band all came from Freddie, apparently, while the rest had lovely wives and family and were just jolly good old chaps. Freddie going solo, breaking up the band but returning on his knees because without Queen he was nothing. Laughing
That he sang along Montserrat Caballé for the opening of the Olympics, a moment he called the highlight in his career, was easily forgotten. That Brian May and the other bandmembers had solo-projects going, just as well.

Also, as a biography (of both the band and Freddie), the movie just plain sucks. The history of the band is completely wrong, and there's no sense of time; Freddie starts singing with the band, and a few moments later we see them perform Killer Queen on ToTP? Also, Freddie didn't know he had aids during Live Aid.

The movie ending with the full set of the Live Aid concert, but performed by the actors instead of the actual footage, was nothing more than filler.

Venom - ??/10

Ehm, I read the original comics featuring Spiderman with the black alien parasite "suit" that Reed Richards from FF helped him remove which ended up on Eddie Brock.

This movie only has the last five words in the above paragraph in common with the story. Sure, it had some entertainment value but makes little sense. I guess the humongous differences between what I've read and what was shown is what's making it difficult to score.
