yes after having to turn off motion blur in all my videogames these past few years IM REALLY GOING TO LOVE BLURRRING IN MY TASK BAR , U FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU***************************NNGGGG SHITTING ME
whoever is designing this shit is so scared shitless of losing his job he is adding rubbish just to keep bussy and stay relevant in the company, nothing else can explain why they want all this shit effects in a freaking task bar that already looks but ugly

Is Windows 10 still available for free download in some ghetto way? I need to do a fresh install on a laptop for someone and I haven't done that in a milllion years now. Just the basic Windows version, does not need to be Pro or something. Or is the best method to use the media creation tool, install Windows and use ms toolkit to activate?

Well, if you're too cheap to buy Win10 Pro for €25 you can always yarr it and use kmspico or similar.
Personally I'm happy that I haven't paid for a single Windows OS since I've been beta testing since Windows XP and every Windows OS up to Windows 7 and gotten free keys for every release. That ended when Steven Sinofsky left and the beta programs turned public (I was in a special program called Test Pilots with ~50 people reporting bugs and testing the hell out of Windows 7). No more private beta or swag or keys for me. Thankfully Windows 10 was a free upgrade so I'm still running a legal version without having paid a dime (well, a small part of my electricity bills while beta testing). Since it seems there won't be a Windows 11 (Windows 10 is a perpetual service OS) I'm happy. If Windows 10 buggers to hell with future updates I can still install Windows 7 (looking at my boxed Windows 2K and remember how good it was once drivers for hardware finally arrived).

why pay 25 bucks for a 99% illegal key without any valid license? no reason to, either buy it at normal price (~120 bucks) or pirate it.

Illegal keys? They're OEM keys/licenses and guaranteed legal @ Kinguin for instance.

too bad win 10 doesnt have seperate oem keys
every key sold als oem 10 key is an invalid license, ok they are all including the next one, or old 7 key (which still isnt a valid license cause you only buy the key). save the bucks and just pirate it instead of throwing money at guys selling illegal stuff. in the end its the same, but you save money.
most of the keys sold are stolen from volume licenses and sold multiple times. they sure work at first, but in most of the cases only till you need to reinstall

well if its allready been activated on that device it should automatically reacivate when you reinstall it, since it uses the hw id has a key or your ms account if you have one afaik.
ive uninstalled KB4482887 it caused missing icons in the system tray, delays launching certain games, black screens in remote desktop amonst other things for me. did they test this properly?

Thanks for the input guys. The laptop was running original Win 7 Home and that key still worked for a new install of Win 10. I thought they stopped that from working, apparently they didn't.

They made 1809 optional (not sure if it's only those with Intel IGP or if it's optional for all). You need to download the Update Assistant.

Yeah, I manually updated (and I wonder why now) since I haven't been offered it via WU. All my drivers are the latest and my hardware is common. I've disabled a shit ton of services. Not sure if I'm on the Semi Annual channel (which could explain it).

after being forced to update from 7 to 10 due to Rift and MS Store, i have to confess 10 aint that bad. Maybe because I have StartisBack and made a bunch of tweaks..but I dont even know when updates are pushed, dont care.. cant even recall of any blue screens. PC is on all day every day..running PC games at same time as running VR games..
