Obsidian uses the best DRM invented yet anyway, a load of bugs on release.

even when it comes on steam, i won't be getting it
any exclusive horse shit is straight yarr
epic is opening the gates for a revisit of the OS wars
once they normalize exclusivity on pc, just like how 3 hour dlc superseded 30 hour expansion packs, epic will probably start work on their own proprietary OS and you need that OS to play certain games

So China is fucking the West, I see.
Guess it was a matter of time, since they wanted to do this since a long time. Probably this... "West" deserves it, also.

Well that's disappointing. Any game that chooses to be an exclusive to that shitty ass store and their bloated, slow, malware client I'd gladly pirate.

TBH I find this almost scary.
So much (desire for) power from EPIC / Tencent is almost overwhelming. It impacts the whole industry already...

sooner or later they wil realize that it's not cost efficient.
they are companies at the end and just throwing money at something without any viable return will make them change their strategy if ppl dont cave in left and right.

I'm all for COMPETITIVE market but this exclusivity is bullshit. Epic is just throwing money around cause they can and the consumers suffer. Fuck you Epic.

I don't think this is about EPIC, Sweeney's or some other CEO's ego, gaming, developers, players or even money anymore.
I believe this is pure control.

To be honest, I'm not even mad anymore. The Epic bribery really is an unstoppable phenomenon at the moment, all I can do is keep downloading isodemos, the only difference is that I'll do it without any sense of remorse or duty since the developers clearly got their dirty bag of Chinese money anyway.
They turned a pirate who would buy anything at a fair price in order to reward good companies/practices into a zero-fucks-given pillaging buccaneer!

Reminder:
Obsidian added achievements to the steam version just an hour before this was announced

Because people in this thread keep saying it? |
Just to remind Mister_s about a month ago.

Damn, this looks worse than expected.
The world appears lifeless and everything looks janky as fuck. Considering it's due this year it doesn't look good IMO.

What do you mean "this year", release date is somewhere in 2020
Jokes aside, it's not an AAA game. It's strength will lie in good quests, replayability and, possibly, writing. On the technical side it'll be rather mediocre, as per Obsidian usual.
