well atleast it doesnt split up the playerbase between ms store (i.e. gamepass users or people who have a xbox too. i cant think about another reason to buy it there if its available at steam) and steam

Am I the only one here that didn't really see anything different about Halo and therefore didn't really stand out?
I remember playing it. Can't remember beating it. I think I did. And then I played 2 and I thought it was bad.
Idk, this might have been around the time I was beginning to feel disenchanted with the FPS genre, leaning more towards strategy and RPG games.
I remember big things like Delta Force had that voxel tech where you could see long distances. Jedi Knight 2 you could finally wield a light saber. Diablo was addicting as was Fallout 1. Half Life had the best AI ever and man was mp fun! Doom 3 had the sharpest graphics at the time. But Halo, Idk. Can't really think of anything that was different from any other FPS.

Little bit torn on this one. I bought a Xbox One X with MCC, then uninstalled it cause gamepass had it too and didnt require the disc everytime so i installed it that way + bought ODST.
I have a 4K HDR tv where it will run at 60fps compared to 1080p IPS freesync 72hz monitor on gaming pc. Only benefit would be keyboard/mouse compared to controller but then again i dont plan to play MP.
Also begs the question if gamepass will allow to play it Windows with play anywhere like forza allows you to.

I was planing to play these game via Xenia, but at this point Its a lot better to wait for the proper ports for the Halo games collection up to Halo 4.

About Halo 1 and 2 the new engine runs the old engine in the background to preserve the original gameplay, so graphics are new (can be switched to the old in real time), but gameplay (so AI) are identical.
The rest of the games received less notable updates.
