Can you say why you think the demo is an early build?

one of the devs mentioned it somewhere try checking the dev interviews i'm pretty sure it was on a gaming site they said it was an earlier older build. And people who played a more recent build at a gamer show said somethings are a lil different gfx and physx wise.

24th in the UK Very Happy

Makes a change for us to get a game before America! I guess it must be because the devs are British!

hehe same here although I seem to remember Burnout Revenge being released to the scene at least 3 days earlier than it went on sale here in the UK. Retail signed and as early as possible would be awesome Very Happy

Retail signed or not I don't care as long as the game is finished.
The nuking for "not signed" is totally unessecary IMHO as mostly the unsigned releases are the same version as the signed one but with the little .xbe difference of signed/not signed.

Gimme the game!

Played the Demo today, i actually liked this game even though it is an FPS (which i usually hate since there is second to none story at all). If they fix the framerate issues in the Retail version then this will be the best Console FPS ever next to Perfect Dark Zero.

Yes, not solid 60 FPS like the trailers showed, more like 30 FPS in the demo Sad Hope it´s fixed though, i´ve heard that the demo is an early build from September last year.

It's a quite dated build,I didn't really notice FPS issues, but I'm not really trained at knowing the difference between 60 and 30FPS; game runs smooth on PS2 here, althought the shotgun is rather useless in demo build,it takes 2-3 shot from point blank range to kill a soldier. This is supposed to be fixed in retail version thought.

I dont understand why EA would not create a PC version. Either way I have a PS2 so Im still going to be able to play this game when it comes out.

But I was hoping for a PC version. Cleaner graphics - better control - Higher Res. Why EA why??? Everything is better on PC.

Since it's made by Criterion Studios (they made Burnout but only for consoles) we won't be seeing this on PC,check the trailers / teasers,it shows Xbox and PS2 signs at the end.

The demo was only mediocre imo. I don't know... I just expected more. The graphics were too hyped, they are not that impressing considering it's a new Criterion game we're talking about. But the strangest thing in the demo was the gameplay itself. Isn't Black supposed to be a non-realistic, fast-paced, fun action game? Like a playable hollywood action movie? That's the impression I got from previews, interviews and videos. Then why was the demo so slow-paced?? You can die in a matter of seconds if you don't approach the enemies slowly and carefully and run from cover to cover. I would not have released this demo, I can't imagine it resembles the experience of the full final version.

Well it would apear that BLACK has taken a small turn against the road of the COD series, as indicated in this last build of a level.

Yepp same here and I normally hate first person shooter's on the console, but this was just too good. I would even say that it's the most entertaining fps I have ever played on any platform, including the pc (And all I have played is a very short demo..good god). Smile
It's the destruction and the mindblowing effects that did it to me.

I also think it was a good thing that they made it abit more like COD. Going all crazy all the time would problary make the game very repetetive after just a few levels.

I can't wait to try out the control setup, to bad there is not a game Mag That you can buy with the demo on.

I like the whole idea that you can't rellay cover behind anything for as long as you want to, refering to the cementary level that ps2.ign played.

Its in the March issue of OXM I believe, off the top of my head I think that issue gets released on Feb 14 but some people have it already (probably subscribers).

Google it and you'll get some more official info - im almost not interested in the demo, full game is nearly upon us after all so its not gonna kill me to wait. Smile

@Xbox men/women - how long is the demo, levels/minutes? It wouldn't take any time for me to pull the file down but im still pondering if its worth it when the full is just around the corner. Smile
