@mrt, how much percent of the total traffic of the hump is actually actively using the NFO section (I'm not talking about people going straight to forum because NFO is defautl when you go to nfohump.com)?

Counting bare NFO views, basically straight-on clicking the NFO to view, about 15%. It is higher since people could just skim the index.

good plans all together.. - I just wanna clear up some of the reasons as to why we never went full auto and have the tags shit etc.

it was basically from an era where the scene and 'warez' were still pretty hard to come by.. and in order to keep our project going and not get hammered/taken out from various scene groups, we would have to distance our selves in some way from direct scene links etc. - NFOrce has and never will be directly linked to the scene - for obvious reasons.. but also from an ethical point of view. we've always (somewhat) respected the scene and its core beliefs with the shareware mentallity that was inherent in the 90's.. however - nowadays (roll back 5-7 years actually).. the scene isn't as 'ethical' as it used to be.. and some of the groups make mucho dinero by selling and shit. anyways.. I get sidetracked with nostagia Very Happy - but.. in essence - I say go ahead and make the automated move, as long as we dont end up with titles labled as in scene.. ie This_Game_Number_5-SCENEGRP. by this format we'ld no longer have the values of what nforce/nfohump was founded by and for..

just my 5 cents... Smile

It's pretty easy to create names based on the release names. Worst case scenario -> do as much automatic as possible -> do the rest by hand. I also don't think we should have all stuff uploaded automatically. There should absolutely be a filter of some kind.

Well, when we update to phpBB: there are several phpBB mods out there for mobile versions. No idea how well it works. That said, I never have issues browsing the forum with my mobile (Lumia 920).

No, that's true - the site works fine on my Galaxy S3. It's just it's the full-desktop version, so there's a lot of zooming about and having to move horizontally. It's not bad, it's just a lot of hassle, which a mobile specific version wouldn't have. Smile

I would say it isn't too easy, rather it is possible. Funny-Thingsยฎ will happen, but if a couple of people can keep an eye on it, fixing it by hand, it will be great. That is exactly what I am counting on.

I will have a repository up and running as soon as possible. Then we can also work on the new look&feel for the website.

Keep the suggestions coming all the same.
