I can already see 240 month contracts being set up with carriers for that thing. With that said I have to say that I like the idea of being able to fold the phone to make it manageable. As screens become larger, the phones become larger and it's reached a point where the border between phone and small notepad is very blurred. And if you drop the phone the main screen is protected (but the folding mechanism will prolly break or something like that).

In a decade we'll all have foldable screens and shit. This is like the 2080 Ti; interesting tech (too early, need more work) and a price that is just a big NOPE!

Well, you can run 16x1080p screens on it with a multiplexer of some sort. No idea why though. And yeah, an 8k tv will mainly be used to watch 4k material on which makes it such a waste of money. The kind of people buying one for that price most likely have a lot of money anyway so it's more of a bragging thing than anything else.

Every time I get a new phone, I am like "oh great, it's like 10x faster than the old one, now I can all those games and it will be so fun!"
And after having installed/uninstalled about 20 games and played a grand total of maybe an hour (not each, altogether) I gently lay the phone down and go back to my pc...
And the phone becomes once more what it was for the last decade+, a phone, an mp3 player, a way to watch stupid youtube clips "on the go".
And you know what, my S4 was able to do all that just fine back then ^^

Can only imagine how full of scratches that screen will be in one week, this design has plastic screen. Anyway, Huawei is also doing foldable phone, its design is so much better, looks great.

even for 1000 bucks i wouldn't buy that, but not because of the money but because of stuff which bothers me. it's too thick for my taste, the screen on the outside is too small, the big notch inside and stuff like this.
if you plan to upgrade your device every 1-2 years and buy youself a device for 1000-2000 euros i don't understand that but for example i bought myself a note 8 in september 2017 when it was just released and i plan to use it like 6 years, so 4 more years from now.
i think it was well worth the 1000 euros then.

Internet browsing, email, Microsoft Teams meetings, camera, PDF scanner, payment device (bar code scanner), guitar effect modeler, banking, 2FA authenticator, Ubiquiti Controller manager, Philips Hue controller, Instant messaging, GPS navigator, currency converter, vacuum cleaner controller, wash mashine controller, gas filling log, constellation app (gps), Auddyssey MultiEQ Editor, music player. Those are the ones I use pretty much on a daily basis.
ps. You can have a laptop for 200-300€ as well.
