Have it too on Chrome. Dont see what the big deal is.
no big deal, just weird because it wasn't there before and it kinda distracts me.
thought maybe something is wrong at my end.
thanks for letting me know.
Retarded Youtube still hasn't deleted a channel called Peluchin Entertainment, where the 15 year old retard uploaded a video killing a cat, bashing it around for minutes. They only deleted that specific video, the channel is still up and monetised.
You can find the cat killing video on liveleak but it will ruin your mood.
I think it took them a few good months and several direct reports before they acted on the channel doing child porn rape so yeah Youtube might take a while to sort these things out.
EDIT: Agh that's a bit overly sarcastic I guess for how serious a subject this is, realistically reports about human and animal abuse and other media should be dealt with within a day or so due to the severity of these and they do have the resources and money to make a effort to improve so it doesn't take 3 - 6 months before things actually happen.
(Or you have to deal with it in a way that really works, going to social media and talking about it there.)

Anyone else have the annoying "Latest YouTube posts" on the home page now right under the Recommended row?
I cant X out of it like the rest of the listings...why cant I close it? I dont care what people are commenting on random videos I watched, I sure as hell dont want a real time 'top 3 posts' taking up space on my home page of it...

Tom Leung, YouTube’s Director of Project Management, described the three possible ways to change the I don't like it option (commonly referred to as thumbs down) which the company is considering. The first option is to hide the thumbs up and down counters by default.
The second option is an add a window with the question "Why do you rate this film negatively?," which would open when you press a thumb down.
The third option would be to completely remove the thumbs down button (or at least their counter).
Youtube doesn't like big companies like Gillette getting ass-blasted by dislikes and comments. They want a docile audience that just consumes shit and doesn't whine, that's better for ad revenue I guess.
What these suckers don't understand is that the viewer needs to have some interaction and some tiny way to vent about things that they don't like. The dislike button is the simplest way. If someone wants, they can disable comments and they can disable the likes/dislikes. That's of course a sign of defeat hehehehe
"The controversy stems from reports that pedophiles have latched onto videos of young children, often girls, marking time stamps that show child nudity and objectifying the children in YouTube's comments section."
what... i had to double check , this was not the ONION when i read that ... thats beyond stupid
"marking time stamps that show child nudity and objectifying the children"
Are these the same "children" that post "bikini hauls" with as smaller and tighter bikinis or "lingerie" as possible, with the purpose of getting more "working with" sponsored videos and free clothes?
When will these retards learn that people ("children" or otherwise) are objectifying themselves for some quick buck. And that's absolutely fine! If you have the body, why not?
After this youtube pedo ring video, 1 day later, disney, grammarly etc pull back ads and all of sudden my youtube has a million ads popping up from random apps and companies.
Anyone else notice it? before this, i could watch videos immediately without ads, maybe an ad halfway, but now i get unskipable, entry ads in all the videos.

OOooOOoooOohhh neeeeat, yeah cause these fucking ads are insane, not as bad as it got when i went to the US, dude it was like i had been infected with a virus. I had ads fucking everywhere lol
Yeah, I use it to watch videos on popup window while surfing the net, you can also watch livestreams on popup mode.
It doesn't connect to your YT account, you need to subscribe manually, save playlists manually etc. And it doesn't load YT comments either, fuck all that shit. Oh, it can play videos on the background, audio-only. Oh, it can also download videos or only their audio.
Oh and no bullshit annotations or the fucking YT recommendations blocking the final seconds of every video and when pausing. Oh and you have full control of the video quality, you can choose normal 720p instead of 720p60fps for example. The official fucking app doesn't let you do that.
