Could it be some backround app?
One game wouldn't launch if I had the Corsair utility engine running in the backround...that was the weirdest shit. Laughing

+ Someone else had the same thing on an ancient AMD card so it's probably not 20XX series related

maybe the game couldn't connect to the server, and now it can?

Wow.. I can't actually believe it... the developers have an exclusivity deal with Thrustmaster, and only SOME of their range of HOTAS is supported!

Exclusive hardware support??? WHAT the actual FUCK is that shit?!

What a travesty this game is.

Only certain flight sticks of that company work(only newer models). People started to review bomb, the dev replied that things might change in a future patch but after they noticed that the review bombing wasnt as bad (who uses a flightstick anyway=minority) they followedup with a newspost where they just list what flightsticks are supported.

So yeah no review bombs==shit.

But whiteknights seem to defend those shitty practices.

Its a shit practice true. On the other hand, it looks like this AC isnt that great compared to the older ones? No isodemo yet so havent played but got AC Zero on PSX2 and in high rez it actually looks really nice.

Finished the campaign yesterday. The game is lovely and worth the money.
The campaign story doesn't make much sense, also lots of details are given via coms while you're in a 5 vs 50 dogfights, so you don't pay a lot of attention.
Your allies AI planes don't do shit anyway.

I'm a very good pilot, but the last mission is very.. peculiar so thank a lot for checkpoints. You have 0 drawbacks for using checkpoints, even contrary - you restart with full ammo.

The planes are very detailed for an arcade, also the atmospheric details, overall lots of eye candy.

Only at low altitude the ground appears low res.

There are also some collectibles to gather so you can replay the campaign:

named planes

finish all missions on hard with S rating

etc..

don't worry, at any given time no more than 2-3 actively engage you, the other just fly around circles with the allied AI planes Laughing

So the plane version of 20 enemies dancing around in a threatening manner while the hero defeats them one by one Laughing

Not yet.

I see old mate Sabin is active on the Rin thread, posting some ini tweaks for increasing the draw distance of ground objects.

You can increase the game draw distances by editing the game's Engine.ini file located in "C/Windows/User/YOURNAME/AppData/Local/BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment/ACE COMBAT 7/Config".

Then add the following lines in the file:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.ViewDistanceScale=10
r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-2
r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.1
r.Streaming.HLODStrategy=2

Can't seem to set the game to 'Fullscreen' mode for some reason. It always defaults to 'Borderless' Any thoughts on how to get it to work?

The performance is butter smooth though and love the game. Very Happy
