Wow.. I can't actually believe it... the developers have an exclusivity deal with Thrustmaster, and only SOME of their range of HOTAS is supported!
Exclusive hardware support??? WHAT the actual FUCK is that shit?!
What a travesty this game is.
Only certain flight sticks of that company work(only newer models). People started to review bomb, the dev replied that things might change in a future patch but after they noticed that the review bombing wasnt as bad (who uses a flightstick anyway=minority) they followedup with a newspost where they just list what flightsticks are supported.
So yeah no review bombs==shit.
But whiteknights seem to defend those shitty practices.
Its a shit practice true. On the other hand, it looks like this AC isnt that great compared to the older ones? No isodemo yet so havent played but got AC Zero on PSX2 and in high rez it actually looks really nice.
Finished the campaign yesterday. The game is lovely and worth the money.
The campaign story doesn't make much sense, also lots of details are given via coms while you're in a 5 vs 50 dogfights, so you don't pay a lot of attention.
Your allies AI planes don't do shit anyway.
I'm a very good pilot, but the last mission is very.. peculiar so thank a lot for checkpoints. You have 0 drawbacks for using checkpoints, even contrary - you restart with full ammo.
The planes are very detailed for an arcade, also the atmospheric details, overall lots of eye candy.
Only at low altitude the ground appears low res.
There are also some collectibles to gather so you can replay the campaign:

You can increase the game draw distances by editing the game's Engine.ini file located in "C/Windows/User/YOURNAME/AppData/Local/BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment/ACE COMBAT 7/Config".
Then add the following lines in the file:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.ViewDistanceScale=10
r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-2
r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.1
r.Streaming.HLODStrategy=2
Pilots, report to base. The ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN Season Pass is coming early summer 2019, with 3 original aircraft and 3 new missions. You will be briefed on every new release each month. Over and out.
Namco must be pretty pleased with itself for incorporating Denuvo as here we are 2 weeks after release and there's not a single fookin crackle to be found.
