The biggest drawback of the game is its storyline. The story told in Far Cry: New Dawn is disappointing, mainly due to the main antagonists twins Mickey and Lou. According to the reviewers, their role is marginalised, and they themselves are devoid of any character that has always distinguished the antagonists of Far Cry games. The game's graphic design met with mixed reactions. The extremely colourful vision of the end of the world presented in the title will not necessarily appeal to fans of post-apocalypse in the vein of the Metro or Fallout series.

It's fair to say that Far Cry New Dawn is 'more of the same', by and large. But when it's more of the same of the good kind, it's hard to find any serious complaint. The game is a ton of fun to play, looks great and runs even better than that. Just don't expect to find much of a post-apocalypse in this version of Hope County.

There's a lot of potential in the ideas seeded in New Dawn, but there isn't enough room for many of them to breathe and feel fully realized.
I didn't like Far Cry 5; played for a couple of hours and grew bored.. too loose and without a good story structure; basically an open world playground with missions between doing the sandbox thing :/ . I won't even bother trying this when the isodemo arrives.
Yeah that sounds way better.
I did some further research and apparently both femocalypse and fempocalypse are valid words, but the latter is used more frequently. the -iptic is still misspelled though.
There' some coin currency, I expect some premium items via that and like Far Cry 5's silver dollars I expect the value to be server side.
Unlike the silver bars in FC5 though I believe I saw some mentions that the coin currency is the only way now and you can't just use (Way more than it' worth without Cheat-Engine usage.) regular currency to unlock these things.
We'll see if they have some weekly contests too and the regular locked away for later arsenal.
(It wasn't really good in FC5 though since most of the guns were adequate or average enough and without some downsides like MG44 having higher recoil now or the DEagle .50 having to use sniper ammo which is far more limited in carrying capacity.)
Hmm so Ubisoft pretty much topped their prior MT games with that and of course the game experience would need to be "ever so slightly" tuned to push players to "maybe" consider these packs.
It's the usual too isn't it, cut a zero and there's the dollar price.
Yes, all Ubisoft games are turning into this crapola "ArrPeeGee like" nonsense of levels and colors and same weapons but "epic" or "legendary" to push people to buy packs and boosters. This is what Assassins Creed turned into, FC is there, wouldn't be surprised if Watch Dogs 3 has this. Used to be the "Ubisoft formula" was climbing towers to open up the map to artificially extend game length. Now it's "grind shit for 2143 hours just to rank some level so you can shoot this idiot with the same gun model but level 378927349 zomg rare edition lvl129387 purple zomg edition (or just pay up to skip the game)" And morons like Rage are speaking about "fun" and "joy"
Havent finished FC5 till now and im not really looking forward to do so, therefore this wont be touched even if a scenegrp would deliver it via postage directly to my door.
@Leo: Haha, exactly. The introduction of such MMO-like concepts aimed at keeping the player artificially "invested" for more time with the blessing of monetization gods almost makes me miss the Ubitowers (...almost!)
They truly bloat the playing time in a way that every single progression feels utterly meaningless, with a lot of volatility involved and very little sense of reward for the regular gamer. I managed to tolerate the system in Origins (sort of), but with Odyssey and its extreme UbiPG implementation even mowing the lawn for hours felt more satisfying than playing.

Title should be renamed Far Cry: Pink Dawn. Simple and punchy and ultimately quite correct from what I've seen.

Several of their main franchises seem committed to this RPG-lite system now, guessing we'll see what Watch_Dogs 3 and Splinter Cell 60 Plus (How old was Sam again?) are going to go into but it seems marketing analytics and research and target or focus group testing has laid the ground for their current path to take with video game design.
They do have some creative offerings too but the main lineup is entirely GAAS and a year or two or even longer with the game on release occasionally a bit barren and then tech issues and other bugs though that could at least improve but then the micro transaction focus (Though it's oh so profitable so can't fault them, making money after all and probably really pleasing any investors and such involved in the company.) though perhaps they can also somewhat start going away from the busywork and padding but well even if the map clutter is reduced from what AC Unity (WHERE AM I! Can't see crap on this map.) and some other titles is lessened now it's a grind for resources, leveling and upgrading with some cosmetic incentives and other means to keep players hooked such as weekly contests and other stuff and rewarding commitment and constant playing of the game and in the process maybe the player will check out the in-game store and such.
The game itself can be fun for what it is but the push to somewhat (That's something of a understatement I guess.) predatory business models and skimming players and what it's called is not that great and they are getting better with the server side and other checks so no Cheat-Engine boosting for some of these things either though it's not entirely restricted either at least.
