Game feels very nice, solid gunplay and it feels proper PC game, neat graphics, runs like butter (usually stays around 70-80fps with every setting maxed out @ 3440x1440). This is gonna make shitloads of money for EA -.-

I know I have been saying this right from the get-go, but this game (for players like me) is by far the best BR out there.
It is because of high TTK, fast movement (also no acceleration on strafes), map design with plenty of cover, high ground and buildings, and team oriented abilities. The ping system also helps team play. I think 3-mans also plays perfectly in to it.
I have played every day since the beginning, have around 35-40 wins (no way to track precisely), and I have played each big BR game for quite a while, aside from Fortnie (fuck building).
The reason this game works is the synergy of the things I stated above, it makes it so, that fights are both about twitch skills and tactics (fast repositioning/flanking is key). Also, higher TTK means you don't get punished so much if caught out of position, and you can easily win fights, where you didn't see the other first, that is if you are more skilled.
Overall, this game is definitely made for an older audience, who like having actual gunfights, not peek-a-boo games.
Also, the game plays rock-solid. No jank.
I very highly recommend this game. Best BR by miles.

not a bad game, i've avoided all battle royales so far so i can't comment on if its the best or anything. it feels like i'm playing planetside 2/destiny 2 most of the time so i can't call it a new experience either.. it feels like every game ever, honestly.
one thing i'm not overly amused by is how effective jumping/sliding around like a maniac is versus good positioning, it feels a little deathmatchy which may be a positive or negative for some people.
i don't think i have won once yet, something is off with aiming for me so far. in destiny 2 crucible i was murdering people left and right with the shotgun but here i can't connect and i haven't pinpointed what my problem is, and this game is a fair bit slower than d2. more practice required i guess or i gotta fluff with my sensitivity.. or use potato gfx like the pros.
the classes also feel a bit haphazard in terms of balance, Bloodhound is the best class by a long shot as it trivializes the annoying visuals when spotting people in combat.
i do like how effective the smoke is on Bangalore and it's a lot less gamey than Bloodhound, but the rest of the class abilities for other characters seem quite subpar honestly.
gunplay itself is alright but the bullet drop is strange and shooting at long range is quite the crapshoot (are we shooting through liquid? so much resistance ), the variety and balance in weapons i would consider poor also.
a few friends are having issues with easy anti-cheat going ballistic on them and kicking them further into the match which is probably going to spell the end of apex for them.
all up it's a pretty fun f2p shooter, i just don't know if i will play it very long, but i am a pretty special cookie so i doubt anyone cares about my opinion

It's barely an EA title, they were supposedly shitting their pants about even promoting it at launch

I hope this does well if only to kill some of the Fortnite BR stuff to get Epic to actually have to work on the PVE side Save the World since that will be going F2P later this year and has not evolved much in almost 2 years of early access now.

I liked the concept of Fortnite, hated the fucking building shit. I may try this one.

It's basically a mix between Fortnite and Overwatch, which works well imo.
So far it's the best multiplayer game I've played in ages, deserves some of the good reviews.
Although I don't play multiplayer so I will likely drop it in a week anyway in favour of catching up with my backlog of true (single player) gaming.

Yep same here, a week or 2 is the maximum I can spend on a multiplayer game before feeling like I am wasting too much time on nothing, so a game like this that can have me play for a week must be a really good game.

But are my GTX 970, 16GB and Xeon 1231-v3 really too slow to play this game on the lowest settings @ 1440p at 60FPS ?  I can't believe it. Much better looking games run flawlessly

exactly why i like it more the more i play it, seems more close quarters with smaller zones and less distance shooting and with the nice smooth gameplay its very good so far. the unique heroes is very nice too, how they interract with eachother etc it gives a personal touch like r6 siege, team fortress 2 etc rather than having a useless random generated character.
feels more like a battlefield squad deathmatch on a larger scale mixed with br elements, titanfall gameplay, r6/tf2/overwatch style heroes and kinda borderlands looting, fast 15min matches
also finaly a completed game too with every game mechanics in it and more on launch, from the dialogues and stuff like text to speech or speech to text, ping, great ui, AAA quality but f2p with r6 siege style seasons with new everything every few months sounds good
