How do you kill that ceiling creature? Doesn't respond to gun bullets.
The note says it is sensitive to noise. So either get "better" guns and bullets, distract it with noise (I'll let you think which secondary defense item can create an intense sound), or walk silently by it if possible.

If you playing as Claire then a single Acid Round kills it most of the times (on Standard difficulty). When it doesn't one or two additional handgun bullets should be enough to finish it off.

OMG, still too scared to return to this game. After I was killed by Mr.X first time I could not sleep at night. Hope I'll be able to try it one more time this evening. Who knew the game would be SO scary.
In the 2nd run he is present for much longer, right now I had to run away from a licker because I fucked up, while running towards the door on the other side I head loud footsteps coming from that direction and my fears were confirmed as the motherfucker opened the door just in front of me.
The Licker almost reached me and Mr. X was just about to punch my head off as I just managed to drop my last flashbang in the final moment and escaped the sandwich of fuck, reaching a save point and going to sleep.
Stressful times.
Well, that's one way to destroy the atmosphere in what's supposedly a creepy horror game.
It's a joke obviously, and I am on my "4th" (second 2nd run) playthrough, so I figure it will get a laugh out of me when I trigger Mr. X.

so after finishing the 2nd run with the true ending and all
Spoiler:
it really doesn't make sense at all that Leon on 2nd run is fighting the same bosses as Claire on the 1st. These two runs are supposed to play out parallel to each other, so there shouldn't be any duplicate stuff like this. In the original game the A/B runs were definitely more thought out with alot more unique content and no overlap in boss battles. In the remake it's only the last boss that is unique to each character, and the Alligator is missing from Claire's run. It's kinda weird when Anette Birkin dies at Sherry's bed in my Claire run but at the same time dies after shooting at Ada in my Leon run.
Apart from that an amazing game and pretty much the best remake I've ever played.
They explicitly said they weren't going to have A/B scenarios, just 2 different scenarios, where the vast majority of the story is told in both of them without the need to play the other.
Now the final game does have these 2nd runs, but it's probably a late addition given they said they weren't going to have A/B scenarios.
So do not think of "2nd run" as the parallel story. I mean, not really. It's just the other scenario with a little remixed gameplay, and the true ending.
Annette (and Ada, for example) had different fates in the original too, depending on which of the 4 scenarios you were playing. Within the same A/B it was consistent, but in comparison to the other set of A/B things happened differently.
So, since they decided they weren't making A/B scenarios, they went with 2 different versions for Annette in this RE2make as well, one if you play Leon, and another if you play Claire.
But at some point late in development they must have decided to offer this 2nd run mode, to kind of hint at a parallel story, but in reality it's just a shorter version of the "other" character's campaign.
Because it's not really a parallel scenario, it's like RE1/make. If you play as Chris, Barry is missing. If you play as Jill, Chris is missing. The canon is not clear, who was missing?, all it matters is all of them got safely away from the mansion (which btw, isn't even possible in the game itself, the final cutscene can't have everyone on board of the chopper). Jill's campaign is not really parallel to Chris's, and vice versa. It's unclear who fought which boss, etc - they both do in their campaigns. And REmake didn't change that. They had the opportunity to clean up the story a bit, and even though they decide to expand on it (Lisa Trevor), they didn't make two parallel campaigns out of it.
Now original RE2 did have fairly parallel campaigns, but they dropped this feature for RE2make. So RE2make's campaigns are akin to RE1's, i.e. technically they cannot be parallel as they contradict each other.
For me it doesn't bother me that they are not really parallel - I don't care that much which was Annette's true fate - it's just disappointing how much stuff they cut from RE2.

AMD codes, the game can't have sold 1M copies otherwise already. It's a hit, but let's not get crazy.
