Whoever wrote that introduction is severaly biased.
"Although virtually all New Testament scholars and historians of the ancient Near East agree that Jesus existed as a historical figure"
Yeah, no. It's not proof when people who wasted their entire lives on 'studying' the Bible claim it's real.
The rest of the page basically says that Jesus is a combination of several mythological beings. Any witness accounts or first writings appearing mentioning Jesus surfaced at least 20 years after his death.
And 20 years in the old times is not like 20 years today (no internet, no printing press, analphabetism and superstitions, etc). Not to mention how reliable witness accounts were back then, seeing how they are even unreliable today.
Also notice that all advocates of Jesus being real are Bible scholars and/or religious.
So, I stand by what I said and call bullshit on Jesus
There's no proof that Christ ever lived in the first place.
Does that mean he lived in the second place?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
