This game is amazing and looong! I love it. I also like how the main story seems to unfold, hints and leads. I hope it won't turn to shit starting chapter 3. I paid 28 for this and I feel like I already got my money's worth.

Nice. I just (finally, after all these years) finished both Dishonored+Expansions/Dishonored 2 and TW3.

I was going to finish PoE now, but I may just get this one first. PoE somehow lost its appeal.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

It won't. IMO it gets even better.

Final chapter (well, final if you don't count Secret Ending chapter) was a bit too much in 1.0, but they apparently tweaked and fixed it.

Final chapter is playable now? So the full game is stable(-ish)?

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

I had to tweak the run/walk speed in this even with a lack of items in my inventory... So I loaded up Cheat Engine with game running, selected the process in Cheat Engine = Speed Hack Ticked 1.6

And much much better

The areas are small. Why would you ever need a speed hack?

Is there any point in giving Amiri anything other than her ginormous sword? I'm at level 10 and nothing seems to be better.

I think I eventually found an enchanted 2H sword that was better, but it was well into chapter 3 by that point at least. And I think she eventually gets another sword as part of her final personal quest, but that was the point where I shelved it due to bugs, so I'm not entirely sure. Certainly early on there was nothing better for her though.

Her sword gets broken, then reforged, then upgraded. I managed to complete the quests needed in one of the hotfixes.

Best 2H is Armag's Sword, but it's bad for...anyone, really, cause it requires a Will check to avoid raging, and the will check gets harder each round. +

I'm a bit confused about what I'm supposed to do first at this point. I'm at ancient curse part four with 156 days to go, I assume that means I'm in chapter 4. Besides this I did a part of the Varnhold Vanishing/ Lost Relic quests (up to the point where you've found the sisters and went back to the barbarian camp to kick some butt). After this I returned to capital. Now my problem is, new events/quests/rank ups and other shit keeps popping up. Should I let the Varnhold thing be until I don't have any side activities, or should I go over the mountains again and do that first?

You'll get a warning that something bad will happen in 2 months when you're nearing the deadline for the quest. "Magical buildup" or something like that for Varnhold iirc. Obviously if you ignore it your barony/kingdom gets destroyed.

The Curse is something else entirely

In the meantime upgrade your stats, take care of tasks, explore new areas and the like. You have a barony to run after all. If you're in the throne room someone will approach you with news.

So the Varnhold and relic thing isn't a priority atm? I'm doing side quests and ranking up stats, completely ignoring the Varnhold quest.

I'm done and it was excellent. It has problems but it was interesting for a lot of hours (the game is very long), that's a great achievement. I won't bother writing up all the things that bothered me, but I'll name two major ones. The constant loading sucks and we really did not need all the random things. I don't understand why devs feel the need to put shitty explorable places in a game that is already rich of content.
The story started off very interesting, but it ended average.

9/10, excellent game.

Personally I'm leaving Atom until it gets patched.

Not being able to reconfigure keys is unacceptable at any stage by any developer in any game.

You mean a full standalone release? Dunno about that, but it was included in the previous Codex update, Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.3m.incl.DLC-CODEX.

Quote:
- Extract
- Run setup.exe and install update
- Copy crack from CODEX dir to installdir
- Play

NOTES: Includes the new Pathfinder: Kingmaker - The Wildcards DLC.

You need the following releases for this:

Pathfinder.Kingmaker.v1.1-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.1c-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.2e-CODEX

They just released a new patch the other day, Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.6d-CODEX

What is the difference between:

Pathfinder.Kingmaker.v1.1-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.1c-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.2e-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.3m.incl.DLC-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.1.6d-CODEX

and:

Pathfinder.Kingmaker-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.0.1-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.0.3-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.0.7-CODEX
Pathfinder.Kingmaker.Update.v1.0.10-CODEX

Looks like the 2nd set doesn't have DLC?

Well one is version 1.0 (with hotfixes) , the other is 1.1, the current branch before 1.2 hits.

In other words, the v1.0.10 chain was superseded by the Pathfinder.Kingmaker.v1.1-CODEX release (and subsequent patches).

Quote:

NOTES: With the release of the v1.1 update, the devs added many new
files making a smaller update not possible. So we decided to make a
new standalone.

Which they be superseded by 1.2 soon. With a million more fixes. Not long before 1.3.

Choices matter, but it's also important if the consequences make sense from a narrative and gameplay perspective.

Oh man, guys. This game is a gem. I feel so stupid for not buying this earlier. It is a gem. Payed full price and DLCs now as well.

Ironically, this is the best DnD game around since NwN2 MotB - mechanically even better. Oh man, they implemented the Pathfinder ruleset so fucking well, guys. OMG.

Buy this game. The devs deserve it!

1.2

Patch Highlights:
System: Loading times have been significantly reduced.
New setting: you can now choose to significantly decrease loading times in kingdom management screens at the cost of higher RAM and VRAM consumption.
Multiple difficulty improvements in Chapters 6 and 7.
New feature: you can now enable camera following. Just double-click a character's portrait or hit F to enable it and disable it by manually controlling the camera (WASD, arrow keys or pressing on the mouse wheel). Camera-following is also automatically disabled on battle start.
New feature: to save yourself a loading screen, you can now hover your mouse cursor over the table in the throne room, and you'll see an exclamation mark if anything new has happened in kingdom management while you were gone.
The Storyteller now provides the total number of artifact shards needed to assemble an artifact.
Numerous visual and user interface improvements.
