Bird Box 3/10
...that was jsut insultingly bad from start to finish
sorry to bother you 4/10
there were a few funny scenes but the whole movie just dragged along coming off as way too pretentious
the sister brothers 8/10
it was nothing "new" per se as far as the script's concerned but the whole movie was jsut put together so well. directing/writing was spot on giving me a Coen-esque vibe. plus Phoenix, Reilly and Gyllenhall did an outstanding job
What a pure joy! Fantastic animation, beautiful art design, humour is just right. It's super rare for me these days to leave the cinema with a stupid grin on my face!
Some of the character designs and crappy hairstyles were one of the few things that really annoyed me.
They copied that other movie, whatever it was called... Did it better I would say... But they wasted so much potential and left so much shit unsettled... Just ridiculous at the end... Sandra is still hot though

Ant-man 2 - 7.5/10 - I like the two main stars and the phase shifting woman was done very well.
Upgrade - 8/10 - Great scifi. Strange that relatively low budget scifi is usually the best scifi.
Good but a little weird when you know the history of that time period.

green book 2018 , holy fuck first day of the year and a supernice movie out of the blue to watch after endless dissapointments and shit flicks
9.5 out 10 half a point off cause i wanted it to last longer lol , this is a keeper everyone must watch, good vibes all over dealing with the darkness of the subject with such grace
Calling it a superhero movie from 2004 was spot on, what crap
Spidey 2 (2004) is great

started looking for more movies with viggo mortensen in it and ended up with a dangerous method 2011, solid flick 8/10, the chin thingy really did creep me out and was overdone lol, but the story and the faiths after the movie of those protrayed and the treatment they provided (to the rich only i assume back then ) by now has benefitted many humans rather then freaky useles shock therapy , and all without shitty zanex and other pills wow, the talking cure. very interesting
Yeah, I'm super late with it, it's been forever in my "to watch" list. Masterfully acted and directed, and creepy as hell in places, the film is a massive step up compared to Garland's directiorial debut with Ex Machina, which wasn't bad, but it was uneven. The only reason I have subtracted 0.5 is that I thought the personal drama (the story told pre-Prism), wasn't really given enough time, focus, or enough material, to become as interesting as the inside-the-Prism story.
Bird Box - 7/10
Nice effort, but not quite there. The film has something decidedly straight-to-video about it, so I'm not surprised it ended up being bought out by Netflix.
Is it scary, though? Yes, very. You will for sure be creeped out both by Bullock's not-quite-natural face - and the digital smoothing applied to it.

Really liked Annihilation as well, it's quite unique, psychedelic horror, kind of Reminded me of STALKER (games, movie) but way more "pop-corn" than the movie obviously.

Yes, but this wasn't
Doc Ock had a perfectly clear motivation, rent-a-stevejobs/elonmusk was bad because... uhhhh... overpopulation? ... and stuff?
Also, nothing about eddie told us that he simply couldn't have turned down that initial interview.
Those were two of my main pet peeves with the film.

Sure it has been digitally smoothed? I thought it was because of the baby foreskin treatments she got
The film opens with a shot of her cheekbone being digitally smoothed eliminating all features. I think high profile actresses like Bullock can even put it in their contract that they will not shoot specific angles that make them look bad, and that they want to be given a digital "beauty pass" for close-ups.

Shhh, the movie gave us Veminem, it's good enough.

It started great and all 3 of us watching it thought it would be a fun ride but it never really took off. There is also no reason for their uner-strong attraction around which the whole movie revolves. The last part of the movie was supposed to be suspenseful and action-filled but it was just them going through doors.
It won me over quickly but left me disappointed in the end. I give it 7.5 because it's one of these movies that have a good mood and the actors look like they're having fun.

You mean A Quiet Place?
That movie you couldn't makes sounds, Bird Box you can't look.
Bird Box apparently was a novel written before A Quiet Place maybe based on The Silence novel) but I like the latter much more.
At least you get to see them.

It's like a boring normal world version of Dark City (which was marvelous and ingenious).
Personally, I found it to be leagues above Dark City, which I never really loved.

The entire time it felt like a bad parody. Pretty bad but interesting just to see how weird it was. Well until that last pew pew part where I got to the point of being utterly bored with it.
Big Short - 8/10 - good movie. I liked the last part about Michael Burry. "Burry contacted the government to tell them how he knew the system would collapse", "no one gave a shit" (paraphrasing)
