I had the battery issue with AutoRCM awhile back and even though I had read about it numerous times still freaked out. I haven't used it since.
Question regarding a couple new titles:
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom NSW-VENOM (FW Required? nswdb says 5.1.0)
The only reason i question it is due to it saying the same FW is required for smash and i swear i keep seeing people say it requires a newer FW.

I don't see why all the fighting games cant come to Switch as well.
These games are graphically simplistic and very scalable, you have one small arena, 2 fully modeled fighters and some background crap.
It should be very easy to lower some details and make it playable at 60 fps on the Switch with slight visual difference.
Got my Switch hacked last week using the SX Pro, thanks to some help from people on here.
Not been able to get any games running yet, though only tried Mario Party. Downloaded that (amongst several other) NSP files from what I believe is a good source. Have tried installing but neither choosing to install to the SD or the internal memory ends up with a launchable install.
On OFW 4.1.0, SX 2.0.1.
If there are some good tutorials about next steps to take, that would be amazing. Specifically what I'm looking to learn is the difference between NSP and XCI files, which is better, how to install games that might come with higher OFW than what I have without screwing up the hack or unnecessarily burning through efuses, whether I should aim to stick with 4.1.0 or whether the consensus is that a different one is better. ExFat (which my system can't currently read) or Fat 32?
I actually spent yesterday reading this entire thread and I think a couple of my questions above may have been answered, but if someone has written a noobs guide somewhere, grateful for a link.

I'm no expert but I've been using this guy's tutorials
That video shows you how to update to 6.2 without burning fuses so you can downgrade if you want to later.
There is a separate SX OS installer now that can manage game installs for you and ignore fw requirements on games if you wanted to stay on a lower fw.
I haven't had any issues with exfat so far
Thanks cyclonefr and IsaacHunt. I'll start by taking a look at that guy's channels.
On the Mario Party front, it appears to have succesully installed, but on the home screen it appears blank, no text and a circular loading icon. Perhaps just a bad dl, but it came from a snakey place that isn't known for fakes. When I try loading the game anyway it just says Could Not Start The Software. EDIt: AFter upgrading to 6.2 and SX 2.4 and reinstalling the file it works.
In better news, Little Nightmares and Dead Cells both seemed to work. Little Nightmares was an XCI and Dead Cells an NSP. I was able to play LN but DC requires an update so I've not proceeded any further with that yet.
I have been using the SX Installer 1.0 if that is what you're referring to. Exfat isn't readable by a 4.1.0 device without going online and updating, so I've been using Fat32 for now and just trying smaller games. A larger SD card (128Gb) and a USB A to C cable are on their way so I'll be playing around a bit more with larger files later in the week, unless I get a higher fw installed before then.
Thanks again guys.

Stick to fat32, exfat is shit on Switch and will keep corrupting your games constantly.
exfat is fine for normal .xci or .nsp, however it can cause corruption if your planning to use Homebrew. I have my 3TB HDD as exfat with all my .xci games and i install nsp from that to a fat32 200gig Sd card where i have my homebrew installed also.
Your friends from Team Xecuter are back with a fresh release of your beloved SX OS. This new v2.5 beta release introduces two exciting new functionalities that you all have been requesting.
Let's waste no time on chit-chat, and see what's new in this release:
Fixed sleepmode in case of fuse mismatch
Sleep/standby mode would break when your emuNAND was on a different firmware version than your actual system NAND. This has been resolved now. So from now on you can run the latest and greatest firmware in emuNAND while at the same time keeping a lower firmware on your original system's NAND. Nifty!
Added initial support for "Internet Local Wireless Play"
Many of you have been requesting for us to add support for "local wireless play" tunneling over the internet. We have integrated this functionality into SX OS for you. This currently requires you to use a bit of software, LAN-Play on a computer to facilitate the tunneling. This software can be downloaded from the LAN-Play website: www.LAN-PLAY.com. Check out their project, they are are doing an amazing job. To enable "Internet Local Wireless Play" simply head into the SX Menu and head over to the "options" page. There's a toggle for enabling and disabling this functionality at will now.
That's all for today. This marks the half-way point of SX OS 2. This year has been amazing and we want to thank the loyal and ever growing TX Switch user community, you guys are the reason this is all possible!

Xci nsp it dont matter.
Thru usb is in docked mode which sucks.
On sxos you can load up sd card and play from there. Or install from there.
Same with other cfw that allow nsp and xci files.
Ok let me rephrase the question do we even need to install games to microsd? If we can directly play from USB without sx os How disk space does game install takes on microsd
