guise guise! i found salvation! so i was running up and down greek hills which went pretty smooth (and, i dare say it, kind of jolly fun) up until i hit around level 12ish and the level-gating kicked in hard...

what if there were an xp boost, i asked myself (or rather google) and imagine my surprise when the first search result directed me to the official ubisoft store -- yes, they actually make you cough up 10bucks to get a permanent xpboost Laughing -- have they no shame i pleaded

but then i figured this is the master race of gaming , we shall not be coerced into paying for something that the game was designed around to begin with and so my odyssey began...

...ong story short, the picture below held all the answers to mine desperate quest and delivered me from the grindfest that never was supposed to be

(dunno if i can link the website i downloaded it from .. but you'll find it im sure)

i think what he means is that if they're selling it , they might not look too kindly at people getting the xp boost for free. but it sure would create one hell of a pr-backlash if they started banning ppl bc of this
-- then again it's ubisoft, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly, after 40 hours I just want this game to end, so I might use that to level up and finish all the higher level quests.

The grind is ridiculous in this game.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

lol I've been preaching playing the game trainer style since Origins, it is the only way to not feel like ubi isn't beating the pennies out of you and get some enjoyment out of the game.

The best option in this trainer is - Teleport to Waypoint. Saves sooooo much time.

finished the main story and atlantis but didnt bother hunting the rest of the cultists and just watched the reveal on yt, level 45 and 46h.

story started interesting but the last part was becoming kinda tiersome, the middle part story missions require higher and higher levels between them so you need to do a story then some side quests in between you kinda loose interest.. had some interesting sidequests but many are the same.

if ac origins showed the creeds origins, odyssey shows the mythologys origins.

kassandra is easily one of the best main characters after ezio along with bayek

I'm going full slut with Kassandra, trying to romance each time the 'heart' symbol shows up Smile
I wonder if there's something similar in the ending as in The Witcher, when you romance both Triss and Yennefer Very Happy

Oh you'll love Alkibiades though there are others and some side quests get pretty funny when you constantly press for affection. Razz
(It does work though but some also require a few specific dialogue choices to not get blocked out though the heart icon itself shouldn't cancel out anything when used.)

dosent do shit. clearly ubisoft didnt thought more about the characters action in the world, about repercussions, doing more good/bad/lie or romancing like other rpg games have

I screwed up some romances (pun intended Razz ), but I'm getting the hang of it now Very Happy

Alcibiades was easy, just needed some oil Laughing

I'm at the part in Delos where you rebel with the Spartans against the Athenian government, and I'm trying to break up the 2 rebel leaders, that are together. Just did the dude (he made a made face when I proposed a threesome Laughing ), now for the woman.

I wasn't expecting much about repercussions in the long run, anyway, apart from perhaps a couple of lines of dialog. I do hope to get some feedback from the Delos couple, though Very Happy

The game is kind of a grind, but I never had the need to do anything but do quests to level up, because there are always side quests to do (I do mean real side quests, not those stupid repetetive challenges on the boards.. THOSE are a hell of a grind). Takes some time before you can continue the main quest when you are around level 30, its a bit of a jump... but nothing huge.
Level 48 now, one boss left to be done with Atlantis part of Odyssey and quite a few Cultists left to kill, altho completed the main story at around 40 hours. Played over 60 hours now, and the game kinda feels like work now

The map is massive and too big in my opinion; all those damn greek islands Laughing And not having the same amount of fun as I did with Origins, but I dont really know why... Its a good game, and a better version, and the story arent that bad either.

At least there should be less island hopping, although I can see Sicily perhaps being the starting area ha ha.
(Or a DLC...so about Rhodos here in Odyssey although I think that's already been a rumor for a while.)

iirc a pretty solid rumor from what ive read, since somewhere in an earlier title you could see some egypt and greek stuff with roman stuff aswell and we got a egypt and greek part for now, so only thing left is the roman empire.

Tho i would like a japan iteration.

Btw, nothing happened on Delos. Never met the girl again after screwing the dude, even after going through the trouble of getting her Athenian wine and all.
Disappointing.. Sad
