The activation servers broke down a bit yesterday and that caused some issues (Mainly for Win10 Pro users upgrading from Win7 or Win8 keys.) but it should be resolved now, hmm wonder if something else broke then?

Is it worth joining the Insider program to get preview builds?

Quote: | Microsoft does provide a number of possible workarounds for the loss of network drive connectivity – a bug it knew was present in build 1809 of Windows, but chose not to fix in the re-release. It suggests setting up script files, scheduled tasks, or changing group policy settings. That said, these mitigation steps may not last beyond a reboot, and may need to be reapplied. Microsoft says it'll sort out the issues "in the 2019 timeframe." That stunning Redmond Q&A process at work again, we guess. |

FFS, I have to deal with that shit again... and worse, can't even expect a fix before 2019. Cunts.
Time to call Hodor for some advanced update ducking.

Network drive... Good memories of 1998.
Its not a widely used feature outside of corporations nowadays and maybe huge households with many desktops. So microsoft sont need to hurry since its not broke in corporations

Quote: | Bad computer security can sometimes have a cascading effect, as researchers from the Netherlands discovered. They first spotted vulnerabilities in the embedded encryption of several SSD models from Samsung and Crucial that allowed them to access data without a password. Then, to make matters worse, they noticed that Windows 10 Bitlocker defaults to SSD encryption, when available. That means if you happened to have one of those SSDs and used Bitlocker, attackers with access to your PC could easily gain access to your file |

Plenty of people use a NAS for remote storage over the local network. Not sure if this issue applies to NAS-tech.

Ran into that bug several times in clients PCs, mostly with image viewers. I mostly just raised my hands and gave up. On one case, a reformat worked (so far). But that's a nuke 'em from orbit solution.

No problems with associations here. Only issues I had with Win10 so far is that the icon cache got corrupted two times (some shortcuts turned blank)
Easy to fix though by rebuilding it
