reading the books for some time now, i regret getting them in german tbh. i HOPE its the translation but they read like 1 dollah bin books at times
I read parts both in english and german, the writing is equally meh.
It translates much better to the screen, I think GRRM simply cant do exposition and description.
Meh... I have medium expectation for this one. Turned from a complex good quality show from firsts seasons to a predictable and rushed show on the later. Still gonna watch it and enjoy it, for the sake to know the fate of the characters.

He wants to cram as many words as possible in his books, but he just ran out of ideas of where to go with the story. The last couple of books are nothing but exposition and description and zero story progress. Utterly boring trash.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

I'm expecting spectacle only.
All that's left for them to do is have a big fight.
I will LOL so hard if the (horrible) leaked scenario's turn out to be real
which one? i have seen like dozen of "supposedly leaked" ones
Can't seem to find the link, but I think it was posted here.
According to the version I read, Daenerys dies during child labour and Jon Snow (along with most of the cast) is burned by one of the dragons. So Tyrion gets to be temporary king until the child comes of age, and also marries the hot side kick of Daenerys, and basically wins the game

I wish it was true. A perfect ending to this clusterfuck of late.
Last I read, the most promising leaks about Tyrion were something completely different (major spoilers!)
Spoiler:
He's getting jealous of John and Dany and ends up being executed in the Dragonpit as a traitor in the finale. There was already a scene in Season 7 that implied this development - when they had the boatsex and it showed Tyrion in the shadows with a jealous expression. I remember back then I immediately noticed this and was like "oh no please don't go that path...". Also Frikidoctor posted a video confirming it and he's been reliable in the past. So I'm afraid it might turn out to be true.
I don't remember that expression being jealous, he's more like worried because the such emotional development is not good when you need to keep your thoughts as rational as possible.
I think I like that ending better than what I posted.
Tyrion, with his plot armor throughout the series, coming out on top at the end would be terrible. Fan service at best.
In any case, no matter how it will end, it will certainly divide fans worldwide
The Shocktroopers leak ending is stupid as well or rather wrongly described. He was more concerned that he again bet on the same despot shit after D burned the enemy soldiers that surrendered, not jealous.

Yep, I am preparing a few empty bags for all the salt, will never have to buy any again in my life
Well the initial vibes I got when watching that scene were more of jealousy than worry. And then 2 months ago came along the leaks, it just clicked. Sure hope I'm wrong but if I had to decide right now I'd still rather believe the leaks. But of course can't rule out that is is HBO trolling us.

Doesn 't make any fucking sense at all
About other theories, I've always thought that both Daenerys and Arya are goners before the show ends.
Also, Stannis The Mannis making a surprise return...
