Atleast rumors says that THG will force it to be released this year no matter what state it is in... I hate when they do that...

no shit... but I'm pretty sure it's gonna suck, I mean when we wait for a game for a long time we usually get uber crap (and I mean crap in a way that it was not worth the wait and all all the fuzz around it): Doom 3, Quake 4 etc. The only good game which was worth the wait is HL2
of course IMHO

HL2 RULED.. dunno about you but it was way better than those crap screenshots and movies released before the game was. Doom3 was a BIG dissapointment and Quake4 was a nice surprise..S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will be shit but DNF(if it will ever be released) will rock!

i think u'll have the right to call some developer gay only after u release your first successfull AAA title and buy your first Testarossa :E
meanwhile, keep in mind that the only ones who decides when to release a title it's the publishers. the game IS finished but i bet THQ is aiming at bringing STALKER to next-gen consoles and istead of letting GSC polish it for PC (and nobody gives a damn fuck about PC these days), they rerouted all the power towards the next-gen port - "nothing personal, business issues only" (c)

this game will rock no matter how long it takes. thats my opinion and im stickin with it.
oh and btw here's a statement from a dev on megagames:
