I were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and not jump to conclusions like a lot of people did but to be honest after watching these videos it just looks so bland. Also without any mods it's going to be unplayable as they still don't know how to make a proper UI despite having made so many games...

We weren't really jumping to conclusions with everything that was announced on E3. There was enough there to know it was most likely going to fail.
For something they've been making such a big deal about, maybe they should have made it look better.
And it seems that you can just fast travel away when someone is nuking you? So you'll never actually kill a player.
Dunno how building settlements work here, but if you can nuke other settlements, then why bother building one yourself if it's just going to get nuked?

I am really surprised they did not hire someone like Darn or the ones that made SkyUI after those sort of modders kept releasing better UIs all these years but I guess they also did not have to pay them since those were free mods so they still reaped the rewards of others work and the no mods for 76 will so just how bad vanilla Bethesda can be.
^ New Vegas still has new mods being made (as in completely new, not just updates to existing mods). Oblivion has some active development going for it as well.
You mean the experience people have lapped up for years on console?
Which only goes to show console gamers are easier to please. Every exclusive released is somehow the best game ever according to them yet when I play it, it usually feels way overrated. Persona 4 & 5 are one of the few exceptions here which is actually underrated considering not THAT many "average" gamers know the series.
at this point i kinda feel bad for Todd... i mean Bethesda is one of the biggest players in the industry, and Fallout is one of the most distinguished/prestigious franchises --- yet all they come up with after x years of development looks plain, clunky, outdated and flatout boring to play...

Todd is the face of it all of course, and while they haven't gone into exact detail about the division of labor I wouldn't be surprised if FO76 is mostly BGS Austin's work - at least in these final stretches. If TES VI is still in the earliest pre-production phases, it'd make sense that Starfield was much farther along now, possibly even a late 2019 release.
Edit: Scratch that, FO76 is indeed mostly BGS Austin:
i tend to agree with DCB though. come to think of it, the last Bethesda game that i thoroughly enjoyed and binge-played was Morrowind.. kind of ironic that sixteen years later they still use the same engine (albeit updated) ...
oh and btw...
and no, this screenshot has not been 'enhanced' by a notorious hump member but maybe that's where they got the inspiration
This is just utterly awful, simply a case of let's make something quickly with existing assets and minimal effort, and we can get in on the Fortnite craze. Somehow.
I bet the online store is staggeringly huge, with ways to buy virtually everything. And not just pink jumpsuits.

Is that screenshot real? Holy shit
Let's cram the UI so nobody notices the horrible graphics. They really need to upgrade their engine, it's not too much to ask for proper shadows in 2018
Last Bethesda game I enjoyed was, of course, FO: NV (only one I finished as well). The one before this was also Morrowind.
I never really played any other of their games longer than 10hrs (maybe FO3, because it was new back in the day). I always 'play' the Elder Scrolls games the same way: spend the whole day searching for mods and try to get them all working together. Then walk around a bit in the game-world, get bored, leave it installed for 6 months because otherwise it's a waste of all my efforts. Then finally uninstall
I never understood the hype around fallout games. The last one I played to completion was New Vegas, I played Fallout 4 but quit after 10 hours because it's just the same exact game with slightly improved graphics. 76 looks like it's continuing along the same vein.
Edit: lol at Il_Padrino I didn't read your post but basically said the same thing
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
