Hm how shall I start..
My System behaves kinda strange lately, there are a couple of things that can really be annoying:
- Programs like installers, updaters, some games and the Windows Media Player get stuck in taskmanager after I close them. They keep being there but cant be killed, neither with taskman itself nor with proggies like pskill. Thus it always takes ~10min until the computer can finally shut down/reboot and kill those programs.
- Sometimes, programs just fuck up. e.g. I'm just sitting in front of the comp, browse the nforce forums and suddenly firefox crashes and has to be closed. A rather rare problem but still annoying.
- The Sound: Sometimes I boot and the sound is extremely low although all settings are at max. Then I reboot again and everything is alright.
- The gui for watching movies in the internet browser is gone. For example I stream a movie on gamespot - usually you see a little wmp gui with progress bar, play, pause and stop. I only see the window with the movie. Double click for fullscreen, but no way to stop/pause/browse progress. ??

I checked for adware, viruses (with Norton crap) did all possible fixes with tuneup utilities, but those 4 problems still remain. Problems 2&3 are petty little matters but no. 1 really pisses me off. And #4..wtf?

Any ideas?

for #4: Do you have VLC player? As soon as I installed it it made itself the default player for everything and there is no gui when you play things in firefox.
