Depends I guess. If it is just a mix of existing bits and pieces from other classes, it may not be too difficult.
Edit: They've passed 800K with 16 hours to go. Archetypes stretch goal reached. They've also announced a new stretch goal at 1 mil for a new playable race, chosen by backers from a choice of 3 (which are still being discussed). Seems a tad optimistic, but you never know I guess.
Initially I was very excited for this, and I've gotta admit the trailer looks great.
Having said that, once I found out that it's being handled by pretty much newbie Russian developers as well as a Russian publisher, My.com (who mainly deals in fee-to-play crap of the highest order), the alarm bells started going off. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise me - it's just that developers from that part of the world aren't really known for handling western RPG's well. The publisher coupling doesn't help matters.
Maybe since this is a new IP (and Avellone is writing) they'll strive to keep the quality high.
Here's to hoping. Would be nice if this turned out great in addition to PoE 2!

A: Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a single-player experience. We are not considering multiplayer at this moment.

Q: Are there any plans for a release on consoles or tablets?
A: Right now, we are focusing on our PC release and considering MAC&Linux support. We are eager to bring our game to you as soon as possible. However, we are definitely considering a release on consoles and tablets as the next step for Pathfinder: Kingmaker after our PC launch.

Q: When's the start of the Alpha / Beta / Release?
A: Our launch will be in summer 2018, with all achieved Kickstarter goals included. Our beta is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. The alpha is planned for fall this year. The alpha will likely consist of a series of tests.

Q: Is combat turn-based or real-time with pause?
A: Our combat system is real-time with pause, with the option to auto pause after each real-time "turn".

My previous reservations may have been a bit hasty. This looks solid.

It's looking promising indeed, the interface is PC-centric, there's a decent art-style and the RtwP combat seems to be working nicely as well. The main question marks are about the actual progression/exploration/balance and writing (then again, [Avellone intensifies]), fingers crossed!
Hey, that's far sooner than expected! Great news......I hope.

It seems to be the date they were planning for (summer 2018), even if it seems like a very rapid development cycle. Basically one year between the kickstarter and the game launch.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker will take players on a tour through the infamous Stolen Lands, the dangerous and turbulent territories well known within Pathfinder fandom. The computer RPG will revisit familiar characters and well-known locations of the series’ lore as well as treat players to brand new adventures, deadly foes and unforeseen twists and turns. Fans of the fantasy pen-and-paper RPG will experience its epic, heroic universe in new ways while computer RPG gamers will discover their favorite genre in a more contemporary light, in stunning 3D graphics that bring the universe to life.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker will challenge players as both adventurers and rulers as they will be able to claim explored lands and carve their own kingdom from the wilderness. Kingdom founding will go beyond simple stronghold-building to become a true reflection of the hero’s character and choices made throughout the game. Each kingdom will be a living thing shaped by alignment, choices, allies and the hero’s ability to lead his or her people.

I’m actually really looking forward to this. Haven’t preordered or anything as I still want to see some more videos and reviews but I am definitely keeping an eye on this.

Who cares about gameplay. It's one of the few next-gen looking titles out there so BRING IT ON.
I WILL be playing this, but I won't be buying it until it's on deep discount in the bargain bin, as it seems like they've decided to pull the whole "47 different editions + season pass" bullshit.
They lost what would have been an easy $40 sale due to nickle and diming shenanigans and now get $0.

Vaerie sounds exactly like Cassandra from Dragon Age
Anyway, this part sounds interesting and I wonder where they will go with it:

For the purpose of building a complete experience and adding more depth to the whole story, we tied the romances to the main storyline. To gain the attention of your love interest you will have to travel together and participate in the story events together. This will prompt additional cues and dialogue options with a character, allowing you to learn more about them and get them to know a little better.
* 100 hours of old-skool fun
* random battles on the overland map
* Kingdom mode, starting in Chapter 2, barony to kingdom
* he thinks the kingdom mode is optional(ish) because of player freedom as core design principle
* 7 endings (1 official, 5 other endings, 1 super secret ending for autists)
* sings praise of the character development
* skills influence dialogue options
* DnD alignment system
* 3D not pre-rendered
* RTwP, formations, formation designer
* Russian developers
* 1 million words, German version announced, only partial VO
* in kingdom mode, you can assign your party to minister posts
* ministers act according to their personality
* (fictitious example: if you assign the aggressive barbarian to the post of interior security, protesting peasants may get stomped, if you pick a diplomatic character, the problem may have been solved peacefully, but is likely not well suited to fend of enemy attacks)
* You can assign characters to task like in DA:Inquisition with different outcomes depending on the assigned character, e.g. alignment (you can still put characters in the party if they have a task)
* repeats that he's a fan of the character system
* battles are standard fare
* describes the resting system
Missed the kickstarter, but pre-ordered this now...looking forward to it.
Kind of shame another very interesting rpg is released almost at the same time(Insomnia: The Ark), but I'll just have to buy both of them and prioritize this.
edit. Goddamn russians taking my money with their awesome games.
Unfortunately, as someone who extensively beta tested, it looks like Pathfinder has a multitude of outstanding bugs. I raised in excess of 50 bugs and I think 1-2 of them were actually fixed. Definitely needs another a couple of months of bug fixing.

And that's why I bought DQ11 now It was highly unlikely it will release in truly finished state
