Sup with the stuttering? Who wants to play a competitive game like bf at 30FPS anyway? and for a $1200??
lol
I recorded that video. That guy stole from my channel actually. I will make it public again tomorrow.
And yeah... lots of stuttering and micro-stuttering in the game. I recorded the whole session with Shadowplay, so it's likely that it had an impact on performance. And yes, the game was locked to 1080p, as well as all the other games available to play after Nvidia's event (Metro, RE2 RMK, ACC, SotTR, BFV, etc).
So, they will release yet another reskinned Battlefield episode in an unfinished state?
Some more blingbling in the gfx-department, a new gamemode...that's it?
If I take a look at the gameplay it's just another too fast paced run-and-gun game without a WW2-feel.
BF1942 is 16 (!!!) years old today, but boy, what an atmosphere it had compared to this lifeless piece of crapware
Why are the big AAA-titles not implementing VR?
Why no real, optional, hardcore mode: slower pace, Project Reality/Squad oriented gameplay?
Maybe I'm getting too old for this (37 years old... ), but I feel that I grew up in a golden era of gaming. The devs took risks to implement completely new stuff, nowadays they throw a recycled game to the masses every 2 years. Not even worth trying out the ISOdemo

Because it doesn't sell in numbers the generic arcade shooter does. Harder, more hardcore games, realistic games, games with high skill celling just don't sell good enough for big greedy publishers to "bother" with them. Its sad, but its the way it is.
That's why I've stopped searching for that "one" game which will hook me up as older games did and keep me playing it for thousands of hours. Until a year or two ago I was desperately waiting for the next big Quake game, next big oldschool CoD game, next big Starcraft game and so on and on, but then it just hit me; it won't happen because times changed, new generation of targeted gamers came and we, older players are just a minority in this gaming world. So i settled with Quake for my afps needs (its not perfect, but its okay enough), R6 for some slower gameplay (it has a lot of bullshit, but fuck it), etc. Right now I'm only waiting for Insurgency Sandstorm to fill that hole where i want to play some more realistic game (but with better performance than Arma).
It all went to hell and the best we can do is to just find here and there some niche game which will keep us entertained for some time. And then rinse and repeat.
But at least the SP games are still quite good.

Holy shit that stutter. So noticeable and so frequent.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
