Loving this game. Tempted to up my score to 10/10 it’s that good! The world is just so dynamic and unscripted. Sure it gets repetitive but it’s so much fun to play that I can’t see myself getting bored any time soon! Love the combat, how some enemies adapt to certain attack’s, appear out of nowhere to ambush you and defying death is pretty awesome when it happens. The online vendettas are good fun too how you can be transported to another players world to take vengeance on the enemy that killed them is really cool. My only concern is I read the true ending of the game requires so much grinding that you have no choice but to spend real world money to get the best gear and army. Fair play to Warner Bros for millking the game and I’m sure they will get a lot of money from it but I refuse to spend a single penny on loot boxes lol.
Warner Bros. have announced the details for the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of War expansions. Costing $39.99, the action game will feature four different expansions. The first two expansions, which will focus on different Orc tribes, will release this year (one in November and one in December), and two story-based expansions will release in 2018.

Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion

* Wield Eltariel’s dual Elven blades and harness the Light of Galadriel with a host of deadly new combat abilities, skills and gear.

Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
* Play as Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil and survivor of the city’s demise, in a new story expansion where players will command the forces of Man against a new Orc threat to the East.
* Unite with Torvin, the Dwarven Hunter, to craft powerful new combat gear, including the shield, gauntlet, chain and glider.
* Hire mercenaries to create a human army and conquer the all new desert region of Lithlad.
* Fight to survive in Mordor as a human without the power of a Ring or a wraith to cheat death in a new rogue-like campaign mode.
* Unlockable Baranor character skin for the main story campaign.
* Available May 2018.
Monolith and WB will be permanently removing microtransactions and the ability to purchase War Chests and Orc Followers.
The Nemesis System is intended to be used to build player interaction with the world, in creating both dynamic allies and enemies in an ever evolving world state. When faced with the ability to purchase Orcs in the Market, Monolith realized this created a disconnect with the world. “It allows you to miss out on the awesome player stories you would have otherwise created, and it compromises those same stories even if you don’t buy anything,” they said in a blog post. “Simply being aware that they are available for purchase reduces the immersion in the world and takes away from the challenge of building your personal army and your fortresses.”
To restore the integrity and intention of the Nemesis System, WB and monolith will be entirely removing Middle-Earth: Shadow of War microtransactions, including Gold, War Chests, and the entire Market. The ability to purchase Gold for real-world money will be removed on May 8, followed by War Chests and the Market being decommissioned on July 17. This extra period of time will allow players to use any extra Gold they may have. Any unused Gold will be converted to in-game items on July 17 alongside the decommission of the Market.
In addition to removing the Shadow of War microtransactions, a future update will improve the Shadow Wars section of the campaign with additional narrative elements to provide a more cohesive experience overall. Endless Siege will still allow players to defend their fortresses against constant onslaughts. Numerous other updates coming on July 17 will also include “Nemesis System updates, new player skins, skill tree additions, gear system upgrades and progression updates.” All aforementioned updates will be entirely free to all owners of Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.
Monolith and WB assure players that the removal of Shadow of War microtransactions is permanent with no intention of adding them back into the game at a later date.
Is it cause no one really used them and they weren't intrusive at all?
Shame that it was in the game cause it sullied a lot of early reviews.
Game is still dope as fuck. Haven't beaten it and spent over 200 hours on it.
